A substantially radiolucent assembly (12; 60) for connecting a patient-worn physiological sensor or electrode to a monitor, comprising:a flexible non-conductive substrate having a proximal end and a distal end;at least one aperture (50) formed in the substrate and sized to receive a sensor or electrode;at least one conductive trace (39) disposed on at least one surface of the non-conductive substrate, wherein the at least one conductive trace is capable of conducting a current between the sensor or electrode and the distal end of the substrate;a means (21;66) for providing an electrical connection between the distal end of the substrate and a monitor;and at least one radiolucent electrical connector (18, 62a-f) comprising the at least one aperture and at least one linear extension of the at least one conductive trace which extends to the aperture, wherein the electrical connector is for electrical contact with the sensor or electrode;said assembly characterized in that the at least one linear extension of the at least one conductive trace terminates in two concentric partial circles (81, 82) surrounding the aperture and wherein the outer partial circle is connected to the inner partial circle by at least one coaxial trace (83).
