27 claims: 9 independent, 18 dependent

  1. 1
An antagonist of a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, for use in a method of inhibiting the growth of a cancer cell that expresses said Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, said method comprising: contacting said cancer cell with said antagonist.
  2. 4
An antagonist of a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, for use in a method for the prevention or treatment of a lung tumor or ovarian tumor in a mammal wherein the tumor comprises cells expressing said Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, said method comprising: administering to the mammal an effective amount of said antagonist.
  3. 8
An antagonist of a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, for use in a method for the prevention or treatment of a lung or ovary proliferative disorder, said method comprising: administering to a subject in need of such treatment, an effective amount of said antagonist.
  4. 13
An antibody which binds to a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:1 07, for use in a method of inhibiting the growth of a cancer cell that expresses said Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 107, said method comprising: contacting said cancer cell with said antibody.
  5. 14
An antibody which binds a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, for use in a method for the prevention or treatment of a lung tumor or ovarian tumor in a mammal wherein the tumor comprises cells expressing said Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 107, said method comprising: administering to the mammal an effective amount of said antibody.
  6. 15
An antibody which binds a Tumor-associated Antigenic Target (TAT) polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:107, for use in a method for the prevention or treatment of a lung or ovary proliferative disorder, said method comprising: administering to a subject in need of such treatment, an effective amount of said antibody.
  7. 16
A method of diagnosing the presence of a tumor in a mammal, said method comprising contacting a test sample of tissue cells obtained from said mammal with an antibody that binds to a protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:107, and detecting the formation of a complex between said antibody and said protein in the test sample, wherein the formation of a complex is indicative of the presence of a tumor in said mammal.
  8. 19
The method of Claim 18, wherein said tumor is a lung tumor or ovarian tumor.
  9. 20
A method of diagnosing the presence of a tumor in a mammal, said method comprising determining the level of expression of a gene encoding a protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:107, in a test sample of tissue cells obtained from said mammal and in a control sample of known normal cells of the same tissue origin, wherein a higher level of expression of said protein in the test sample, as compared to the control sample, is indicative of the presence of tumor in the mammal from which the test sample was obtained.
  10. 22
The method of Claim 20, wherein said tumor is a lung tumor or ovarian tumor.
  11. 23
A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of an antagonist according to any of claims 1 to 12 or an antibody of claims 13 to 15, in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
  12. 24
A kit comprising:(a) a pharmaceutical composition of Claim 23;and (b) a package insert or label indicating a beneficial use for said pharmaceutical composition in the treatment of cancer.
