16 claims: 3 independent, 13 dependent

  1. 1
An apparatus comprising:a code location component (148), configured to execute at least partially within an auxiliary execution environment (108), and further configured to locate a group of pages (144) of a main memory (112) having content corresponding to a first component (132) configured to execute within a host execution environment (104), the auxiliary execution environment (108) being securely partitioned from the host execution environment (104), the auxiliary execution environment (108) further being configured to execute instructions independently and securely isolated from the host execution environment (104), and a micro-context manager (152), configured to execute within the auxiliary execution environment (108), coupled to the code location component (148) and further configured to associate a micro-context identifier with the group of pages (144) of the main memory (112) to regulate access to the content from the host execution environment (104).
  2. 7
A method comprising:accessing, from a host execution environment (104), a micro-context identifier stored in an auxiliary memory (116) by a micro-context manager (152) of an auxiliary execution environment (108), the auxiliary execution environment (108) being securely partitioned from the host execution environment (104), the auxiliary execution environment (108) further being configured to execute instructions independently and securely isolated from the host execution environment (104);and accessing, from the host execution environment (104), content stored in a group of pages (160) of a main memory (112) based at least in part on the micro-context identifier.
  3. 16
An article comprising:a storage medium;and a set of instructions stored in the storage medium, which, when executed by a processor of a host execution environment (104) cause the processor to perform the method recited in any one of claims 7 to 16.
