  1. 1
Claims of equivalent WO 2007070718 A2 What is claimed is:1. An apparatus including a non-thin-fϊlm battery, comprising: an implantable housing;electronics disposed in the implantable housing;and a battery disposed in the implantable housing, the battery comprising: a stack including at least one substantially planar anode having a thickness greater than 1 micrometer and at least one substantially planar cathode having a thickness greater than 1 micrometer;a battery housing enclosing the stack of substantially planar anodes and cathodes and displacing less than approximately 0.024 cubic centimeters;and terminals interconnecting the battery and the electronics.
  2. 14
A method for construction an implantable device, comprising:shaping an exterior of a housing of the implantable device, including modeling the exterior to provide reduced hydrodynamic drag in conditions measured at the implant site;stacking at least one non-thin-film anode with at least one non-thin-film cathode into a stack;and disposing the stack into a battery housing having a volume of less than approximately 0.024 cubic centimeters, the battery housing providing a form shaped to fit the interior of the housing of the implantable device.
  3. 19
An apparatus, comprising:an implantable device housing;electronics disposed in the implantable device housing;a battery disposed in the implantable device housing, the battery comprising;a battery housing;an anode connected to a first terminal;and a cathode connected to a second terminal, wherein the anode and the cathode are arranged in a bobbin configuration.
