Assembly for a service connector or a service slide-on receptacle in the housing of an industrial truck
Abstract
The arrangement has a plastic cover locking an inlet to a connector and/or to a bushing during non-usage of the arrangement. The connector and/or the bushing are arranged at a base (20) of a panel-like cavity (18) in an upper side (12) of a housing. A rubber elastic casing (24) is provided for closing the cavity in a form-fit manner. The casing has a raised edge pointing towards interior of the cavity, where the edge is provided with base-like extensions at the corners for the support at the base of the cavity. A cord is formed at a lower side of the casing.

p0001The invention relates to an arrangement of a service plug or a jack-in case of an industrial truck according to the preamble of claim 1.
p0002Handling with electrical or electronic components usually have a so-called service connector or a service jack. This or these form an interface for an external connection to the electrical or electronic components, in particular for diagnostic and test purposes. Such interfaces are intended to be for a readily available, however, do not pollute the other possible or corroded by splashing.
p0003The invention is therefore based on the object to provide an arrangement of a service plug or a -steckbuchse for the housing of an industrial truck, on the one hand provides a secure mechanical protection and, secondly, a protection against the ingress of liquid and contaminant particles. Furthermore, protection against unintentional opening and achieved against negligent or deliberate damage to the interface should be.
p0004This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
p0005In the inventive arrangement, the socket and the plug at the bottom of a fold-shaped depression on one side of the housing, the truck is preferably arranged at the top. A rubber-elastic cap is shaped complementarily to the cross-section of the recess and roughly be inserted positively into the recess. This can be the ingress of fluid and particles prevent. Also an unintentional opening of the cover is prevented by the cap, which is preferably more or less submerged seated in the recess. In this way, a receptacle for the insertion of small objects is created above the cap.
p0006The cap according to the invention provided with a captive. This prevents that the cap is lost upon removal from the recess.
p0007In one embodiment of the invention, the cap having an inwardly facing edge is provided which comprises at corners foot-shaped lugs, which serve to support on the bottom of the recess.
p0008As captive securing is integrally formed on the underside of the cap with a hooking portion at the free end of which is captively inserted into an opening in the wall or at the bottom of the recess in one embodiment of the invention a cord.
p0009It can not be prevented from accumulating in certain circumstances above the cap water. It is therefore provided according to one embodiment of the invention, in this one opening through which accumulated water flows into the recess. This in turn has an opening for draining the water toward the floor. Preferably, the opening in the cap as a slit is formed near the edge. This allows the slot to be used simultaneously for removing the cover by lifting with a simple tool.
p0010According to a further embodiment of the invention a sealing ring is integrally formed on the cap at the bottom, the sealing places at or around the connector or the connector on the bottom of the depression when the cap is inserted into the recess. Thus, the socket or the plug is also protected in any case, if moisture enters through the drain hole in the recess.
p0011Usually the truck are arranged on the side facing the operator instruments in the housing. According to one embodiment of the invention, the recess in the upper portion of an angular instrument hood is molded from plastic, which is inserted into a the operator facing portion of the housing of the industrial truck. The nearly vertical portion of the instrument cover may have openings for receiving instrument modules. According to one embodiment of the invention, these openings are arranged recessed with respect to the raised lateral and lower edge sections of the vertical portion. Using the raised edge portions the instrument hood is reinforced. Moreover, this protection of the instrument modules is obtained from mechanical effects.
p0012The invention is described below with reference to drawings.

Fig. 1 shows in perspective a tool hood with a recess and a cap according to the invention.

Fig. 2 shows in perspective the top view of the cap of FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 shows in perspective a bottom view of the cap of FIG. 2.

Fig. 4 shows in perspective the instrument hood according to Fig. 1 without the cap.

p0013In Fig. 1 is a receptacle 10 indicated in a truck not shown having a top 12 and a vertical end face 14, is associated with a drawbar vehicle drawbar for example. In a recess of the receiving instrument is a hood 16, which is integrally injection molded from plastic, are used. In the upper portion of the approximately angular instrument hood 16 a recess is formed 18th The recess is fold-like manner, and in the bottom 20 of the recess 18 an opening 22 for receiving a service connector or a service plug socket is formed. The plug and the socket is connected in a suitable manner with electronic or electrical components of the truck, not shown.
p0014In the recess 18 a cap 24 is inserted, as indicated by arrow 26th Subsequently, the cap 24 is described in detail.
p0015The cap 24 is integrally molded from a rubber-elastic material and in cross section complementary to the cross section of the depression 18. It is shaped so that it can be sealingly inserted into the recess 18th The cap 24 has a top portion 28, an upper circumferential raised edge 30 and a lower peripheral raised rim 32, being formed at the corners of foot-like approaches 34th With this, the cap 24 is seated on the bottom 20 of the recess 18 when the cap is inserted into the recess 18th In the present case, the recess 18 is a uniform trapezoid. The outline of the cap 24 is therefore shaped accordingly.
p0016In the ceiling portion 28 of the cap 24 has a slot-like opening 36 is formed near an edge. About this may be above the cap 24 accumulating water in the well to flow underneath. It is understood that the bottom 20 of the recess 18 also has a drain port, which is not shown. With the help of a tool, the cap 24 can be easily removed from the recess 18 by the tool engages the slot 36th
p0017In a corner area of the cap 24 a cord 38 is integrally formed at the free end of a toggle-like locking portion 40 is formed. The gag-like portion 40 is threaded into a not-shown opening of the wall or of the bottom 20 of the recess 28 to form a captive cap for the 24th
p0018On the underside of the ceiling portion 28, a sealing ring 49 is integrally formed. This places at or near the service plug or the service socket in the opening 22 of the recess 18 when the cap 24 is placed on the bottom of the recess 18th This prevents moisture and dirt from entering the service socket or the service plug.
p0019As mentioned above, the recess 20 is arranged in an instrument hood 16th In Fig. 4 this is found again, without the opening for receiving a service connector or a jack is shown in the bottom 20 of the recess 18.
p0020It can be seen that the instrument hood 16 is approximately angularly with an upper substantially horizontally extending portion 42 and a lower approximately vertically extending portion 44. The recess 18 is located in the portion 42. The vertical portion 44 has two superposed openings 46, 48 on the insertion of instrument modules that are not shown here. As can be seen, the apertures 46, 48 are limited to the side and downwards by raised edge portions 50, 52 and 54th These raised portions 50 to 54 form a protection against external influences on the instrument modules in the openings 46, 48. The raised edge portions 50, 52 also extend into the upper portion 42 inside.
