Method for determining the load in a washer-drier and washer-drier

Abstract

A tumble dryer (11) may have in an air outlet (20) a humidity sensor (22) connected to a controller (24). The humidity sensor (22) detects the time course of the absolute humidity in the air outlet (20). Certain characteristic values, such as a time to reach a maximum value or an absolute humidity at a certain point in time, can be detected and compared with values stored in the controller (24). From this it can be determined what amount of laundry (14) is in the tumble dryer (11). This way a program flow can be optimized.
