  1. 1
A method for stabilizing the reconstruction of an imaged volume, comprising:performing radioactive-emission measurements of the volume over a specified set of views using an extracorporeal radiation-emission-measuring probe (100), wherein the probe (100) includes a radiological imaging camera (155) comprising a plurality of detectors configured for independent movement during data acquisition, and configured for detecting radiation emitted from the volume thereby to provide radiation data;performing an analysis of the reliability of reconstruction of a radioactive-emission density distribution of said volume from the radiation detected over the specified set of views;and in accordance with said analysis defining modifications to the data collection process to improve said reliability of reconstruction;wherein said modification comprises defining views for imaging said volume;wherein said defining comprises specifying multiple scan densities for imaging said volume;wherein said specifying comprises defining different scan steps by different detectors of said plurality of detectors.
  2. 17
A reconstruction stabilizer, for improving the reliability of reconstruction of an imaged volume, comprising:a reliability analyzer (145), configured for performing an analysis of the reliability of reconstruction of a radioactive-emission density distribution of said volume from radiation detected over a specified set of views;and a modifier (150) associated with said reliability analyzer (145), configured for defining modifications to a data collection process to improve said reliability of reconstruction, in accordance with said analysis;wherein said modifier (150) is operable to define non-uniform scanning comprising defining different scan steps by different detectors of a camera which includes multiple detectors capable of independent movement during data acquisition, and which are capable of detecting radiation emitted from the volume thereby to provide radiation data.
