  1. 1
A cartridge (32) for use in an inhalation apparatus (20) wherein said inhalation apparatus (20) comprises a mouthpiece (26) comprising a central bore (40), the cartridge comprising a head portion (102), a tail portion (104) and a chamber (110) for storing an inhalable substance;wherein the cartridge (32) further includes at least one portion for receipt in the central bore (40) of the mouthpiece (26);wherein the cartridge (32) is rotatable from a first position in which the chamber (110) is closed to an ambient environment, to a second position in which a flow pathway from the ambient environment through the chamber (110) has been opened, when the cartridge (32) is inserted into the central bore (40) of the mouthpiece (26);and wherein the cartridge (32) comprises structures configured to engage with the inhalation apparatus and to retain the second position once the second position has been reached, characterised in that the cartridge (32) comprises an inlet conduit (112) for air intake, the inlet conduit comprising a feed channel (114) and a collimation tube (116), the collimation tube (116) extending into the chamber and the cartridge (32) further comprising at least one protrusion (132) and two or more ridges (130a, 130b) that together with the collimation tube (116) in use create vortices from the airflow through the collimation tube when the cartridge (32) is in the second position.
  2. 2
An inhalation apparatus (20) with the cartridge (32) of Claim 1, wherein the inhalation apparatus (20) comprises a cover (24), the cover (24) being adapted for covering the mouthpiece (26) wherein the cover (24) and the mouthpiece (26) include co-operatingly configured structures (54, 57) for retaining the cover (24) in an engagement with the mouthpiece (26), once the cover (24) has been placed on the mouthpiece (26).
  3. 3
The cartridge (32) of Claim 1, wherein the head portion (102) comprises a cylindrical portion, wherein riblets (45) extend around the cylindrical portion, and wherein the riblets (45) engage corresponding riblets (44) in the mouthpiece (26) when the cartridge is engaged with the mouthpiece (26).
  4. 4
The cartridge (32) of Claim 3, wherein the collimation tube (116) in use directs airflow at a protrusion (132) in the chamber (110).
  5. 5
The cartridge (32) of Claim 1, wherein the tail portion (104) comprises a central protrusion (132).
  6. 6
The cartridge (32) of Claim 1, wherein the central protrusion (132) is cone-shaped.
  7. 7
The cartridge (32) of Claim 1, wherein the head portion (102) and central bore (40) of the mouthpiece (26) are correspondingly shaped.
  8. 8
The inhalation apparatus (20) of Claim 2, wherein the cover (24) is adapted to engage the tail portion (104) of the cartridge (32).
