    An air cleaner (300, 670) including:(a) a housing (305, 672) having a housing compartment (310, 672) and a cover (315, 674);(i) the cover (315, 674) being removeably secured to the housing compartment (310, 676);(ii) the housing (305, 672) including an air inlet region (335, 678) and an air outlet region (330, 680);and, (iii) the housing compartment (310, 676) including an annular seal surface (260, 660);(b) a filter element arrangement (50, 450) positioned in the air cleaner housing (305, 672);the filter element arrangement (50, 450) being removable and replaceable within the air cleaner housing (305, 672) upon relative axial movement between the filter element arrangement (50, 450) and the internal annular sealing surface (260, 660) of the housing (305, 672);the filter element arrangement (50, 450) comprising: (i) a coiled media construction (125, 470) comprising a media sheet of corrugations (123) secured to a media bottom face sheet (132) and configured in a coil;(A) the coiled media construction (125, 470) having: first and second ends;a first flow face (105, 471) at the first end;and a second flow face (110, 472) at the second end;(B) the media within said coiled media construction (125, 470) forming a plurality of flutes (124);each of the flutes (124) having a first end (146) positioned adjacent to the first flow face (105, 471) and a second end (148) positioned adjacent to the second flow face (110, 472);(1) a first set (136) of selected ones of the flutes (124) being open at the first end (146) and closed at the second end (148);and (2) a second set (134) of selected ones of said flutes (124) being closed at the first end (146) and open at the second end (148);(c) a sealing system (60, 460) including (i) a seal member (250, 650) and a frame (170;205;605) arranged around one of the first and second ends of the coiled media construction;(A) the frame (205;605) having a depending lip (251;651), (ii) further including a projection (174) having a tip portion (263;663) projecting axially from and above one of the first and second flow faces, and including a step (253) providing a transition area between the cross-sectional width of the depending lip and the smaller cross-sectional width of the tip portion (263;663);(A) the tip portion (263;663) of the frame (170;205;605) having an outer circumferential surface (178);(B) the tip portion (263;663) of the frame (170;205;605) being an annular sealing support for the seal member (250, 650);(iii) the seal member (250, 650) being positioned on, and being supported by, the tip portion (174;263;663) of the frame (170;205;605);(A) at least a portion of the seal member (250, 650) being positioned on and peripherally around the outer circumferential surface (178) of the tip portion (263;663);(B) the seal member (250, 650) including an outwardly directed, peripheral, sealing surface, the seal member peripheral sealing surface being oriented to form a releasable, peripherally directed, radial seal (172, 685) between the filter element arrangement (50, 450) and a housing internal annular sealing surface (260, 660), as a result of axial insertion of the filter - element arrangement (50, 450) into sealing engagement with the internal annular sealing surface of the air cleaner housing (305, 672).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1 and 2 wherein:(a) a portion of the filter element arrangement (50, 450) adjacent the first flow face (105, 471) is received within, and is surrounded by, a portion of the cover (315, 674).

    The air cleaner according any one of claims 1-3 wherein:(a) the cover (315) is secured to the housing compartment (310) by latches (325).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-4 wherein:(a) the first housing compartment (310) has a circular interior cross-sectional configuration.

    The air cleaner according any one of claims 1-5 wherein:(a) the inlet region (335) and the outlet region (330) are coaxially aligned.

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-6 wherein:(a) each one of the first flow face (105, 471) and the second flow face (110, 472) is planar.

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-7 wherein:(a) the cover (315, 674) is removeably secured to the housing compartment (310, 676) at an end opposition the air outlet region (330, 680).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-10 wherein:(a) the coiled media construction (470) has a cross-section including a pair of curved ends (511, 512) joined by a pair of straight segments (513,514).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-12 wherein:(a) the frame (170;205;605) includes radially supporting cross braces (210,610).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-14 wherein:(a) the outwardly directed, peripheral, surface of the seal member (250, 650) defines a cross-sectional configuration of steps (266, 267, 268) increasing from an end tip (180) of the projection (174, 663) toward said depending lip (251;651).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-15 wherein:(a) the projection 174 is a continuous member forming a closed loop structure 182.

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-16 wherein:(a) said frame tip portion (263, 663) includes an end tip (180);an outer surface (178), and an opposite inner surface (176);and (b) said seal member (250, 650) includes: a first portion being oriented against said outer surface (178) of said tip portion (263, 663);a second portion oriented against said end tip (180);and a third portion oriented against said inner surface (184).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-17 wherein (a) the filter element arrangement (50, 450) is operably installed in the air cleaner housing (305, 672) of an engine (703) with some defined rated air flow demand of at least 850 m 3 /h (500 cfm) through the filter element arrangement (50, 450).

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-19 wherein:(a) said seal member (250, 650) comprises compressible polyurethane foam.

    The air cleaner according to any one of claims 1-20 wherein:(a) an amount of compression for the seal member (250, 650) is between 15% and 40% of the thickest portion of the seal member (250, 650).
