The biocidal composition of claim 6 wherein R 2 is: wherein c is 0 or 1 and the alkylene group has 2 to 20 carbon atoms.

An anti-fouling composition comprising:wherein n is an integer from 1 to 1,000: m is an integer from 2 to 1,000;1 2 3 R , R and R are independently a Ci- Cio alkyl, a cyclopentyl, a cyclohexyl, a benzyl, a toluyl, a xylyl or a phenyl;R and R are independently a hydrogen, a Ci- Cio alkyl, a cyclopentyl, a cyclohexyl, a benzyl, a toluyl, a xylyl or a phenyl;R is a Ci- Cio alkyl, a cyclopentyl, a cyclohexyl, a benzyl, a toluyl, a xylyl, a phenyl, a cross-linking group, a biocidal group that is toxic to organisms that cause fouling in an aquatic environment, or a fouling release group;R is a biocidal group that is toxic to organisms that cause fouling in an aquatic environment;and wherein the biocidal group(s) is bound to the silicone backbone by a non- hydrolysable linkage.
