    Method of reducing the variance of a signal-to-noise ratio estimated for a signal with differential phase and coherent amplitude modulation, applicable to a two-way communication system of multiple sets of user equipment in which amplitude differential phase-shift keying modulation, ADPSK, is used, which requires a sending of a phase reference symbol prior to sending an information, and where an estimation is made of the signal-to-noise ratio in order to use a modulation with a maximum number of bits per symbol, maintaining a bit error probability in reception within certain given margins; said method being characterised by:- receiving a symbol with known modulation, wherein the symbol corresponds to a point in a modulation constellation,- calculating an amplitude error (1) using a detected amplitude (23), over the symbol received,- calculating an error in the phase increment (4) using a detected phase increment (24), over the symbol received,- translocating the amplitude error (1) and the error in the phase increment (4) to the first ring of the constellation, as if the received symbol had been transmitted in that ring,- calculating a noise power (12) as the square of the modulus of the error vector (2), where said error vector is formed by the amplitude error (1) and the error in the phase increment (4), where said noise power (12) is accumulated and averaged;in order to calculate noise samples, reduce the variance of the signal-to-noise ratio and equalise said variance among optimum constellations of odd and even bits per symbol, estimating the signal-to-noise ratio with the noise power previously calculated and the known power of the ADPSK signal, and selecting the modulation with the maximum number of bits per symbol maintaining the bit error probability in reception within the given margins using the estimated signal-to-noise ratio previously estimated. Procédé de réduction de la variance d'un rapport signal sur bruit estimé pour un signal avec une modulation de phase différentielle et une modulation d'amplitude cohérente, applicable à un système de communication à deux voies de multiple ensembles d'équipements d'utilisateur dans lesquels une modulation par changement de phase à différentiel d'amplitude ADPSK, soit Amplitude Differential Phase-Shift Keying, est utilisée, qui exige l'envoi d'un symbole de référence de phase avant l'envoi d'une information, et où une estimation du rapport signal sur bruit est effectuée de manière à utiliser une modulation avec un nombre maximum de bits par symbole, en maintenant une probabilité d'erreur de bit à la réception dans certaines marges données ;ledit procédé étant caractérisé par : - la réception d'un symbole avec une modulation connue, dans lequel le symbole correspond à un point dans une constellation de modulation,- le calcul d'une erreur d'amplitude (1) en utilisant une amplitude détectée (23), sur le symbole reçu,- le calcul d'une erreur dans l'incrément de phase (4) en utilisant un incrément de phase détecté (24), sur le symbole reçu,- le transfert de l'erreur d'amplitude (1) et de l'erreur dans l'incrément de phase (4) au premier anneau de la constellation, comme si le symbole reçu avait été transmis dans cet anneau,- le calcul d'une puissance de bruit (12) comme étant le carré du module du vecteur d'erreur (2), où ledit vecteur d'erreur est formé par l'erreur d'amplitude (1) et l'erreur dans l'incrément de phase (4), où ladite puissance de bruit (12) est accumulée et sa moyenne est calculée ;de manière à calculer des échantillons de bruit, à réduire la variance du rapport signal sur bruit, et à égaliser ladite variance parmi des constellations optimales de bits pairs et impairs par symbole, l'estimation du rapport signal sur bruit avec la puissance de bruit calculée préalablement et la puissance connue du signal ADPSK, et la sélection de la modulation avec le nombre maximum de bits par symbole en maintenant la probabilité d'erreur de bit à la réception dans les marges données en utilisant le rapport signal sur bruit estimé préalablement. Verfahren zur Verringerung der Varianz eines Signal/Rausch-Verhältnisses, geschätzt für ein Signal mit Differentieller Phasen- und kohärenter Amplitudenmodulation, anwendbar auf ein Zwei-Wege-Kommunikationssystem multipler Sätze von Nutzergeräten, in denen Amplituden-Differentielle Phasen-Umtastungsmodulation, ADPSK, angewandt wird, was das Senden eines Phasenbezugssymbols vor dem Senden von Information erfordert, und worin eine Schätzung des Signal/Rausch-Verhältnisses erfolgt, um eine Modulation mit einer maximalen Zahl an Bits pro Symbol unter Beibehaltung einer Bitfehlerwahrscheinlichkeit beim Empfang innerhalb bestimmter vorgegebener Toleranzen zu nutzen, wobei das Verfahren durch die nachstehenden Schritte gekennzeichnet ist: - Empfangen eines Symbols mit bekannter Modulation, wobei das Symbol einem Punkt in einer Modulationskonstellation entspricht,- Berechnen eines Amplitudenfehlers (1) unter Anwendung einer ermittelten Amplitude (23) über das empfangene Symbol,- Berechnen eines Fehlers in dem Phaseninkrement (4) unter Anwendung eines ermittelten Phaseninkrementes (24) über das empfangene Symbol,- Translozieren des Amplitudenfehlers (1) und des Fehlers in dem Phaseninkrement (4) zu dem ersten Ring der Konstellation, als ob das empfangene Symbol in diesem Ring übertragen worden wäre,- Berechnen einer Rauschleistung (12) als das Quadrat des Moduls des Fehlervektors (2), wobei der Fehlervektor durch den Amplitudenfehler (1) und den Fehler in dem Phaseninkrement (4) erzeugt wird, wobei die Rauschleistung (12) akkumuliert und gemittelt wird;um Rauschabtastungen zu berechnen, die Varianz des Signal/Rausch-Verhältnisses zu verringern und diese Varianz unter optimalen Konstellationen von ungeraden und geraden Bits pro Symbol auszugleichen, Schätzen des Signal/Rausch-Verhältnisses mit der zuvor berechneten Rauschleistung und der bekannten Leistung des ADPSK-Signals, und Auswahl der Modulation mit der maximalen Anzahl an Bits pro Symbol unter Beibehaltung der Bitfehlerwahrscheinlichkeit beim Empfang innerhalb gegebener Toleranzen unter Verwendung des geschätzten Signal/Rausch-Verhältnisses, das zuvor geschätzt worden war.
