Thus, large-capacity still picture data and audio data added thereto can be recorded and/or reproduced using the minimum amount of information. The still picture group information includes general information for a still picture group, containing the start position of the still picture group and the number of video parts in the still picture group, and information for a still picture, the information containing position information thereof. The general information for a still picture group includes the start position of a still picture in the still picture group. The information for a still picture and audio data includes the sizes thereof. Therefore, effective management of information is allowed.
