    Claims of equivalent WO 2004101245 A2 What is Claimed:1. A foam dispensing apparatus, comprising: a foam precursor fluid chemical pump;a dispenser having a fluid chemical outlet;a hose through which the fluid chemical flows in flowing between said pump and chemical outlet, a heating system having an elongated heating device received within said hose and a feedthough unit to which a first end of said heating device extends and into which electrical terminals in electrical communication with said heating device extend into, and said heating device having an opposite, second end positioned closer to said chemical pump than said first end.

    A foam chemical dispenser apparatus, comprising:a chemical supply device;a dispenser device, having a dispenser housing and an outlet from which foam chemical is output;a chemical passageway through which chemical passes in going from said supply device to said foam chemical output, said chemical passageway being defined by a hose and chemical conduiting formed in said dispenser housing;a heating system comprising a first heater element that extends within said hose from a first end positioned closer to said chemical supply device to a second end supported closer to said dispenser device, and a second heating element that is provided in said dispenser device;a temperature sensor system including a first temperature sensor positioned for sensing temperature of chemical traveling in said hose and a second temperature sensor positioned for sensing the temperature of chemical traveling in said dispenser device;a control assembly in communication with said temperature sensor system and said heating system to maintain chemical traveling from a point on the heater element in said hose to the chemical outlet of said dispenser device at a chemical temperature above a predetermined minimum temperature during said traveling of the chemical.

    A heated hose assembly for use in a chemical supply, comprising:an elongated flexible hose having an outer conduit and an interior chemical flow passageway;an elongated heater element dimensioned for insert into said outer conduit;a bulbous insertion facilitator provided at a free end region of said heating element.

    A method of manufacturing a heater system for a foam dispenser assembly having a chemical supply device, a dispenser device with a dispenser housing and an outlet from which foam chemical is output, and a chemical passageway through which chemical passes in going from said source to said foam chemical output, said chemical passageway being defined by a hose and chemical conduiting formed in said dispenser housing, comprising:providing a heating system which includes a first heater element that extends within said hose from a first fixed end positioned closer to said chemical supply device to a second free end positioned closer to said dispenser device, and a second heatmg element that is provided in said dispenser device;a temperature sensor system including a first temperature sensor positioned for sensing temperature of chemical traveling in said hose and a second temperature sensor positioned for sensing the temperature of chemical traveling in said dispenser device;and providing a control assembly which communicates with said temperature sensor system and said heating system to maintain chemical traveling from a point on the heater element in said hose to the chemical outlet of said dispenser device at a chemical temperature above a minimum temperature during said traveling of the chemical.

    A foam dispenser system comprising first and second chemical passageway hoses;a pump assembly for delivering foam precursor chemicals "A" and "B", respectively, to said passageway hoses;a chemical mixing module with mixed chemical output;a dispenser housing supporting said mixing module, said dispenser housing having a main manifold which includes a pair of elongated chemical passageways for said chemicals "A" and "B";a heater device which is received in a heater device recess provided in said main manifold adjacent said pair of elongated chemical passageways to heat chemical passing in said pair of passageways;a temperature sensor system with temperature sensor for monitorin g chemical heat levels in said dispenser housing;and a control system for adjusting chemical temperatures traveling is said pair of elongated chemical passageways.

    An in-line chemical feed pump for a foam dispenser system, comprising:an inlet conduit for receiving chemical fluid;a pump head in chemical fluid communication with said inlet conduit;an outlet conduit in chemical fluid communication with said pump head;a driver;a pump drive transmission system positioned in drive transmission communication between said driver and pump head, said pump drive transmission system including a magnetic coupling with first and second magnetic coupling members placed to opposite sides of an intermediate protective shroud, and wherein said shroud has a coupling reception cavity which receives one of said first and second magnetic coupling members.

    The chemical feed system for a foam dispenser, comprising:a motor with a drive shaft;a pump unit;a drive transmission system in line between said motor and pump unit, said drive transmission system comprising a magnetic coupling assembly having a first magnetic coupling member and a second magnetic coupling member and an intermediate shroud positioned between said first and second magnetic coupling members and sealing fluid within said pump unit;and wherein said shroud has a chemical reception cavity into which chemical flows.

    A chemical feed system for a foam dispenser system comprising:a motor with a drive shaft;a pump unit;magnetic coupling means for transmitting force from the drive shaft of said motor to said pump unit while retaining said drive shaft free from chemical contact, said magnetic coupling means including a first magnetic coupling member, a separating device and a second magnetic coupling member with said separating device extending into a reception cavity formed in said first magnetic coupling member.

A method of feeding chemical to a foam dispenser, comprising:introducing chemical to an inlet port of an inlet pump manifold;pumping the chemical with a pump head outputting the chemical through an outlet pump manifold, and wherein pumping the chemical includes driving a pump drive shaft with a magnetic coupling assembly which includes shroud and first and second annular magnetic coupling members each receiving a respective one of a motor drive shaft and downstieam transmission shaft, and with said shroud having a reception cavity receiving said second magnetic coupling member.
