Position detecting apparatus for actuator and variable valve lift mechanism for internal combustion engine

Abstract

A position detecting apparatus for an actuator (10) includes a linear movement mechanism (25) in which a magnet (24) is provided; a coil (23) which is provided so as to face the magnet (24) such that a magnetic field is formed between the coil (23) and the magnet (24); and a drive shaft (20) which is connected to the linear movement mechanism (25) through a ball screw (30), and which is linearly moved in response to rotational movement of the rotor (25), the rotational movement being caused by energizing the coil (23); and a magnetic flux detection sensor (28) which detects a change in magnetic flux of the magnet (24), the change being caused by the rotational movement of the rotor (25), and which obtains an amount of linear movement of the drive shaft (20) based on the detected change in the magnetic flux.

A position detecting apparatus for an actuator, which includes a rotor (25) in which a magnet (24) is provided; a coil (23) which is provided so as to face the magnet (24) such that a magnetic field is formed between the coil (23) and the magnet (24); and a shaft (20) which is connected to the rotor (25) through a movement conversion mechanism (30) that converts rotational movement to linear movement, and which is linearly moved in response to rotational movement of the rotor (25), the rotational movement being caused by energizing the coil (23), characterized by comprising:a sensor portion (28) which detects a change in magnetic flux of the magnet (24), the change being caused by the rotational movement of the rotor (25), and which obtains an amount of linear movement of the shaft (20) based on the detected change in the magnetic flux.
