Process for the continuous production of a component comprising a bent tubular body

Abstract

The invention proposes a process for producing a component (10) comprising a tubular body (12) made of a thermoplastic, consisting of at least one elbow section (20), which process comprises: a) a step of producing a tubular extrudate (38) by extrusion or by injection;b) a step of forming the said elbow section (20) by the hot bending of an intermediate section of the extrudate (38) between two straight sections, wherein the bending step is carried out continuously on the hot extrudate (38) formed during the production step, and wherein the end-fiting is fitted onto the downstream free end of the extrudate before the bending step. The invention also proposes an installation for implementing the process, which comprises a device (24) for producing the extrudate (38) by extrusion or injection, and a bending head (42) placed immediately downstream of the production device (24).
