Abstract

A communication apparatus (100) comprises generating means (105) for generating a single physical frame including a plurality of MAC frames, and transmitting means (101) for transmitting the physical frame. The physical frame has variable-length bitmap information comprising bits corresponding to the plurality of MAC frames, respectively, and length information of the bitmap information.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating a single physical frame including a plurality of MAC frames;and means for transmitting the physical frame generated by the means for generating, the physical frame having variable-length bitmap information comprising bits corresponding to the plurality of MAC frames, respectively, and indicating attributes of the respective MAC frames, and length information of the bitmap information.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for receiving a single physical frame including a first MAC frame having a first priority, and a second MAC frame having a second priority;a first timer started in response to reception of the first MAC frame and having a first timer value corresponding to the first priority;a second timer started in response to reception of the second MAC frame and having a second timer value corresponding to the second priority;a first receiving buffer which stores the first MAC frame included in the physical frame received by the mean for receiving and which outputs the first MAC frame at a time when the first timer times out by the first timer value;and a second receiving buffer which stores the second MAC frame included in the physical frame received by the means for receiving and which outputs the second MAC frame at a time when the second timer times out by the second timer value.

    A communication system characterized by comprising:a first communication apparatus comprising: means for generating a single physical frame including a first MAC frame having a first priority and a second MAC frame having a second priority;means for designating at least one of a first timer value corresponding to the first priority and a second timer value corresponding to the second priority;and means for transmitting the physical frame whose timer value has been designated;and a second communication apparatus comprising: means for receiving the physical frame;a first timer which is started in response to reception of the first MAC frame and to which the first timer value designated by the physical frame is set;a second timer which is started in response to reception of the second MAC frame and to which the second timer value designated by the physical frame is set;a first receiving buffer which stores the first MAC frame included in the physical frame received by the means for receiving and which outputs the first MAC frame at a time when the first timer times out by the first timer value;and a second receiving buffer which stores the second MAC frame included in the physical frame received by the means for receiving and which outputs the second MAC frame at a time when the second timer times out by the second timer value.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating and transmitting a single physical frame including the number of MAC frames, corresponding to a window size;means for receiving a response frame including a received state of the MAC frame;means for retransmitting a MAC frame which has not been successfully received based on the received state indicated by the response frame;and means for enlarging the window size in such a manner that the MAC frames are included as many as a maximum number of MAC frames capable of being included in the physical frame during retransmission.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating a single physical frame including a plurality of Quality of Service (QoS) Data frames;and means for transmitting the physical frame and transmitting Block Ack Request frames corresponding to the plurality of QoS Data frames following the physical frame.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for setting first and second traffic streams including designation of first and second sizes of MAC frames;means for generating a single physical frame including: a total number of traffic identifiers;a plurality of first MAC frames each having a fixed length equal to the first size concerning first traffic identifiers;first information indicating the total number of the first MAC frames;a plurality of second MAC frames having a fixed length equal to the second size concerning second traffic identifiers;and second information indicating the total number of the second MAC frames;and means for transmitting the physical frame generated by the means for generating.

    A communication system characterized by comprising:a first communication apparatus comprising: means for receiving a single physical frame including a plurality of MAC frames;and means for transmitting a response frame to be transmitted immediately after elapse of a short inter frame space (SIFS) interval at a time after elapse of the SIFS interval from reception of the physical frame;and a second communication apparatus comprising: means for receiving a notice indicating that the first communication apparatus is not capable of transmitting the response frame to be transmitted immediately after the elapse of the SIFS interval;and means for extending a network allocation vector (NAV) to be set corresponding to a duration immediately after the elapse of the SIFS interval after receiving the notice until the response frame is transmitted.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating a single physical frame including a first MAC frame having a first destination, and a second MAC frame having a second destination;and means for transmitting the physical frame generated by the means for generating, the physical frame including information indicating a start time of the response frame from the first destination, a start time of the response frame from the second destination, and an end time of all the response frames.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating a single physical frame including a plurality of MAC frames having different destinations;and means for transmitting the physical frame generated by the means for generating, the physical frame comprising first bitmap information including bits corresponding to the respective MAC frames and indicating divisions of the destinations, and second bitmap information including bits corresponding to the respective MAC frames and indicating an acknowledgment policy.

    A communication system in which a first communication apparatus grants a transmission permission to a second communication apparatus to transmit a frame in accordance with a polling schedule,     characterized in that the first communication apparatus generates a single physical frame including a poll frame to grant the transmission permission, and at least one frame, and    the second communication apparatus receives the physical frame, and obtains the transmission permission by the poll frame included in the physical frame to transmit the frame to the first communication apparatus.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:first selecting means for selecting a plurality of MAC frames to be included in a single physical frame;and means for transmitting the MAC frame selected by the selecting means by the single physical frame in response to reception of a polling frame.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for selecting a plurality of MAC frames to be included in a single physical frame and transmitted in such a manner as to satisfy necessity for retransmission of a MAC frame determined by acknowledgment information, and a schedule rule in accordance with attributes of the MAC frame relating to retransmission or new transmission;and means for transmitting the MAC frame selected by the means for selecting by the single physical frame in response to reception of a polling frame and an acknowledgment frame.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:first means for estimating a channel based on channel estimating information included in a physical frame of a received polling frame;means for selecting a transmission system of the physical frame to be transmitted as a response to the polling frame from a plurality of candidates in such a manner as to adapt to a channel estimate result estimated by the first means for estimating, the transmission system comprising at least one of a modulation system and a coding ratio;and means for transmitting the physical frame in accordance with the transmission system selected by the means for selecting.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:frame selecting means for selecting a plurality of MAC frames to be included in a single physical frame;means for estimating a channel based on channel estimating information included in a physical frame of a received polling frame;transmission selecting means for selecting a transmission system of the physical frame to be transmitted as a response to the polling frame from a plurality of candidates in such a manner as to adapt to a channel estimate result estimated by the means for estimating, the transmission system comprising at least one of a modulation system and a coding ratio;and means for transmitting a MAC frame selected by the frame selecting means in response to the reception of the polling frame by the single physical frame in accordance with the transmission system selected by the transmission system selecting means.

    A communication apparatus characterized by comprising:means for generating a single physical frame including a poll frame which grants a transmission permission in accordance with a polling schedule, and at least one frame;means for starting the polling schedule;and means for transmitting the physical frame toward a communication apparatus to which the transmission permission is to be granted in accordance with the started polling schedule.
