Telemetry apparatus

Abstract

The object of the present invention is to provide the telemetering apparatus, which telemeters electric power, gas, and waterworks, for telemetering via a telephone network with an exchange, wherein the telemetering apparatus responds to the normal polarity inversion, the slow polarity inversion, and calling bell signal applied to the communication line therebetween upon starting or releasing of use of the communication line. To attain the above object, the telemetering appears according to the present invention comprises detection means for detecting a rising edge or falling edge of those polarity inversions and signal characterized thereby with reference to the respective predetermined voltage and the respective predetermined period, thus distinguishing one of these polarity inversions and signal from the others.

  2. 2
A monostable multivibrator which dissipates no electric power in outputting no current, the monostable multivibrator comprising:current permission means for permitting a first current and a second current to flow in response to an input trigger;current charging means for charging the second current to develop a voltage;voltage detection means for detecting the voltage reaches a specific voltage;and current forbidding means for forbidding the first current to flow upon detection that the voltage reaches the specific voltage.
  3. 6
An edge detection circuit which detects an edge which is one of a rise and a fall in an input voltage changing with a top peak voltage and a bottom peak voltage lying and outputs a current denoting detection of the edge, the edge detection circuit comprising:first voltage determination means for determining a first specific voltage laid between the top peak voltage and the bottom peak voltage;second voltage determination means for determining a second specific voltage laid between the top peak voltage and the bottom peak voltage;first transition detection means for detecting a first transition of the input voltage at the first specific voltage;current permission means for permitting the current to flow upon detection of the first transition;second transition detection means for detecting a second transition of the input voltage at the second specific voltage;and current forbidding means for forbidding the current to flow upon detection of the second transition.
  4. 8
A state holding circuit which outputs a current in response to a trigger, the state holding circuit comprising:current switching means for allowing the current to flow in response to a first trigger;constant-current means in response to a second trigger for allowing the amount of the current to be beyond a predetermined threshold level during flowing;wherein one of the current switching means and the constant-current means is involved in the other of the current switching means and the constant-current means, and an input trigger serves as the first trigger and the second trigger to simultaneously activate the current switching means and the constant-current means.
  5. 13
A bell signal detection circuit which detects a bell signal alternating at a predetermined period, the bell signal detection circuit comprising:rising edge detection means for detecting a rising edge of an input signal;falling edge detection means for detecting a falling edge of the input signal;measuring means for measuring a period between the detection of the rising edge and the detection of the falling edge;and judging means for judging whether or not the input signal is similar to the bell signal by comparing the measured period and the predetermined period.
  6. 16
A bell signal detection circuit which detects an alternating bell signal changing across a reference level within a maximum level and outputs a current denoting the detection of the alternating bell signal, the bell signal detection circuit comprising:reference level transition detecting means for detecting a transition of the alternating bell signal at the reference level;and current permission means for allowing the current to flow upon detection of the alternating bell signal.
