Packaging bag with self-closeable outflow port, and method of manufacturing the packaging bag

Abstract

In the pouch of the present invention in which a pouring spout (3) is formed by means of a heat-sealed part (2) and a non-heat-sealed part (6) by heat sealing plastic films, the inside surfaces of the films that form the portion of the boundary area (Y) between the heat-sealed part (2) and non-heat-sealed part (6) of the pouring spout passage (4) on the side of the non-heat-sealed part (6) contact each other so that no gaps are left in a closed state. Accordingly, even if the pouch is suspended with the pouring spout (3) down following the opening of the pouring spout (3), the leakage of the contents such as a liquid or the like accommodated in the interior of the pouch from the pouring spout (3) a small amount at a time can be securely prevented. The gap-free contact of the inside surfaces of the films can be accomplished by uniformly pressing the films in the boundary area (Y). Furthermore, in the pouch manufacturing method of the present invention, a valve member (103) which restricts the movement of the contents when the pouch is formed is conveyed in accordance with the conveying of web-form body members (101, 102) that form the pouch, and this valve member (103) is welded to the body members (101, 102) in a state in which a sealing preventing member (106) is interposed on the side on which the contents pass through; accordingly, pouches that have a valve function such as a reverse flow preventing function or the like can be continuously manufactured. In addition, in this pouch manufacturing method, in cases where a branched part (254) if formed by folding back at least one side part of a web-form body member (240) at a fold-back line running along the feeding direction of this body member, the body member (240) is guided by a guide so that the pass line length of a portion occupying an arbitrary position is substantially constant from the initiation of fold-back to the completion of fold-back; accordingly, a natural and favorable fold-back can be achieved without generating any slack or wrinkles in the web, so that pouches such as pouches having a branched part (254) can be manufactured with a favorable appearance and commercial properties.

9 claims: 5 independent, 4 dependent

  1. 1
A pouch (1, 31, 31a, P1 through P5) which is formed by heat sealing plastic films, characterized in that it comprises a self-closable pouring spout (3, 33, 41, 141) in which the inside surfaces of the films that form the portion of the boundary area (Y) between the heat-sealed part (2) and non-heat-sealed part (6) of the pouring spout passage (4) on the side of the non-heat-sealed part (6) contact each other with no gap in a closed state, and a metering chamber (37, 48, 148) that communicates with said self-closable pouring spout (3, 33, 41, 141).
  2. 4
The pouch according to any of claims 1 or 2, wherein said metering chamber (37, 48, 148) is demarcated so that communication with an accommodating compartment (38, 147) of said pouch is possible by means of a film valve (34, 146, 176).
  3. 6
A method of manufacturing a pouch which is formed by heat sealing plastic films, characterized in that in the manufacture of a pouch in which a self-closable pouring spout (3) is formed by means of a heat-sealed part (2) and a non-heat-sealed part (6), heat sealing is performed with said heat-sealed part (2) and said non-heat-sealed part (6) of the pouring spout passage (4) being uniformly pressed in the boundary area (Y) between said parts.
  4. 8
A method for continuously manufacturing pouches (P1 through P3) from web-form body members (101, 102), characterized in that a web-form valve member (103) both sides of which are weldable and at least one side of which can be tightly sealed is conveyed in accordance with the conveying of said body members (101, 102) in order to partition the interiors of said pouches (P1 through P3), and said valve member (103) is tightly welded to said body members (101, 102) on said one side by welding in a state in which said valve member (103) is sandwiched between said body members (101, 102) with a sealing preventing member (106) contacting the other side of said valve member (103), in order to allow the passage of the contents accommodated in said pouch along said valve member (103) in the lateral direction thereof.
  5. 9
A method for manufacturing a pouch in which a branched part (254) is formed in the pouch by folding back at least one side part of a web-form body member (240) at a fold-back line (244b) that runs along the feeding direction of said body member, wherein said body member (240) is guided by a guide so that the pass line length of a portion occupying an arbitrary position in the lateral direction of said body member passing through is substantially constant from the initiation of fold-back to the completion of fold-back in the fold-back process of said body member.
