Gooseneck microphone with stiffening element
Abstract

State of the art
0001The invention is based on a so-called gooseneck microphone in accordance with the Preamble of the independent claim.
0002So-called gooseneck microphones are distinguished in that the actual Microphone on a plastically deformable rod-shaped retaining element, the so-called gooseneck, is attached. The holding element itself is again at a Console mounted. The deformability of the retaining element serves the microphone by bending of the holding element in a desired position, preferably near the to pivoting of the user's mouth. The holding element here has a sufficient Stability, the microphone after its pivoting in the pivoted position to hold. Such gooseneck microphones are, for example, Hands-free mobile handset in motor vehicles or for the An announcement in travel or city buses used.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
0003The gooseneck microphone invention having the characteristics of independent Patent claim has the advantage of an increased stability of the gooseneck and thus greater stability of the set microphone position, particularly when used in no vibration-free environment, so for example in motor vehicles.
0004In addition, the Erfmdung offers the advantage that longer goosenecks and / or Such can be used with thinner gooseneck cross section without the Stability of the arrangement thereby suffers.
0005Advantageous developments of Erfmdung are in the dependent claims indicated and are described in detail below.
0006Advantageously the reinforcement element surrounds the holding element at least in its particularly polluted area, ie, in particular near the attachment of the holding member on the headrest / backrest, since the largest bending moments due to the influence the weight and superimposed vibration induced acceleration forces to are expected.
0007Advantageously, the stiffening element of a resilient material.
0008Advantageously, the stiffening element is in a first (vertical) direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the holding element has a larger cross-section than in a second (Horizontal) direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the support member and perpendicular to the first direction. This design of the dimensions of the stiffener , this acting on the microphone capsule and retaining element weight force and additional acceleration forces take effect while a high Flexibility of the gooseneck microphone is maintained in a horizontal direction. The latter is particularly a significant contribution to the prevention of injuries in Impact of the head of the driver to the microphone, for example, at could end collisions occur.
0009Advantageously, the stiffening element thereby a substantially oval Cross-section.
0010Advantageously, furthermore, the cross-section of the stiffening element along the Holding member to the microphone toward and with increasing distance from the mounting of the holding member from. In this manner, the total weight of Gooseneck microphone kept low while providing optimum stability. In particular, it is herein advantageous if the cross-sectional shape, especially in the vertical Direction to the resulting from the weight of load profile in the holding member is adapted.

Description of Embodiments
0013Figure 1 shows the headrest / backrest 1 of a vehicle seat, for example, here the Driver's seat in a motor vehicle. On the side face 7 of the headrest / backrest 1 the vehicle seat is mounted a so-called gooseneck microphone. 6 The Gooseneck Microphone 6 comprises a plastically deformable, hollow rod-shaped Retaining member 3 to which a microphone capsule 2 is fastened. Through the interior of hollow rod-shaped retaining member 2 are connecting cables not shown in the figure out for the microphone capsule. 2 The microphone capsule 2 opposite end of The holding element 3 and thus the entire boom microphone 6 is attached to the Headrest / backrest 1 attached.
00143 of the described by the plastic deformability of the retaining element Gooseneck microphone 6 is the position of the microphone capsule 2 by bending the Adjustable gooseneck. In particular, the microphone capsule 2 may in a position to brought near the mouth of the person sitting on the vehicle seat driver will.
0015The attachment of the gooseneck microphone 6 to the headrest / backrest preferably carried out by means of a pivot bearing. 5 The pivot bearing 5 permits Pivoting the support member 3 and thus the microphone capsule 2 in a semi-circle parallel to the pivot bearing 5, ie substantially in a plane to the side face 7 of the Headrest / backrest 1. This allows more freedom in setting the Position of the microphone capsule. 2 The pivot bearing 5 is designed such that its torque is sufficient a Adjusting the microphone position by vibrations as riding on or similar uneven surfaces or running troubles of a vehicle internal combustion engine arise, surely prevent. The torque of the pivot bearing 5 on the other hand, also set low, the microphone 6 manually pivoted about the pivot bearing 5 can be.
0016In the position of the gooseneck microphone 6 shown in Figure 1 acts on the Microphone 2 and the holding element 3, the weight of a. This is superimposed on a Acceleration force in vehicle vibrations due to driving over Road bumps or the like. To an undesirable bending of the Holding member 3 by the microphone capsule 2 and the holding element 3 acting Weight and acceleration force and thus an unwanted adjustment of the position To prevent the microphone capsule 2, the holding element 3 in the area of highest Bending moment, so close to its mounting 5 on the headrest / backrest a Stiffener 4.
0017A cross section through the stiffening element is shown in FIG. 2 The Stiffening element 4 has a high-oval cross-section and is concentric about the holding element 3 arranged around. Alternative cross-sectional shapes are possible and are in the range of the present invention. The cross-section of the stiffening element 4 tapers corresponding to the course of the forces acting on the retaining element 3 Bending moment in the same direction as a result of the weight and, if necessary acting vertical acceleration forces set. The largest cross-section 41 in the vertical direction y, the stiffening element 4 thus in the field of Attachment of the holding member 3 to the headrest / back rest 1, the slightest Section 43 along the holding member 3 (direction z) at its the microphone capsule 2 facing to the end. The cross-section 42 of the stiffening element in the horizontal Direction x is less than the vertical direction Y and preferably along its Length equal. This follows consistently from the fact that the Gooseneck 3 in the horizontal direction x forces acting in the ordinary Operating be low and therefore the gooseneck in the horizontal direction x no additional stabilization required. In addition, the gooseneck microphone in Cases of potential Anpralls the driver's head, for example as a result of Rear-end collision, to oppose the lowest possible resistance to to avoid injury. The expansion of the stiffener 4 in the horizontal Direction essentially results from the desire to the stiffener 4 be able to produce a single piece and also this easy on the holder 3 be able to fasten, namely, as in this case the fact that the Stiffening member 4 is slipped over the gooseneck third
