    A method of delivering streams (28) of content (21), the method operating on a stream sourcing content delivery system, the method comprising:retrieving a playlist (18) from a database (14), wherein the playlist is associated with a first stream (28) and the playlist comprises multiple content elements (21);querying the database (14) to determine if new content elements have been scheduled in the playlist (18);determining if each content element (21) of the playlist (18) is locally cached (24);if one or more content elements are determined to not be locally cached, retrieving the one or more content elements from one or more content sources (20);locally storing the retrieved playlist items (21) in a local cache (24);constructing a first stream of the content elements from the local cache (24) based on the playlist associated with the first stream (28) and providing the first stream to at least one distribution point (26) for delivery to at least one client terminal (32);and if retrieval of new content elements (21) associated with the playlist (18) is disrupted: producing a loop of the first stream (28), such that the last content element (21) is linked to the first content element (21);and providing the looped first stream to the at least one distribution point (26) for delivery to the at least one client terminal (32).

    A content delivery system (12), comprising:a processor (25);and a memory (27), wherein the system (12) is configured to perform the method of any of claims 1 to 9.

    A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium (25) having instructions stored thereon for causing a computing device to perform the method of any of claims 1 to 4 and 11 to 13 for delivering streams (28) of content (21).
