  1. 1
    An organic memory device (10, 24, 28, 34, 38, 54, 58, 74, 78, 100, 700, 704) comprising:at least a first organic memory structure (30, 50, 70) and a second organic memory structure (34, 54, 74) arranged in a vertical manner with respect to each other;the first and second organic memory structures comprising: a first electrode (110, 122, 132, 140, 220, 244, 332, 348, 432, 448, 514, 560, 616, 704, 710);a selectively conductive media (706, 708) formed on the first electrode, the selectively conductive media comprising a passive layer (118, 230, 324, 342, 424, 442, 524, 526, 708, 800, 900, 1000) formed on the first electrode and an organic layer (706, 900, 1000, 1100) formed on the passive layer;at least one other electrode (110, 122, 132, 140, 220, 244, 332, 348, 432, 448, 514, 560, 616, 704, 710) formed on the organic layer and operative with the first electrode to activate a memory portion in the organic layer;and at least one control component (40, 44, 48, 60, 64, 68, 80, 84, 88) to partition the first and second organic memory structures, and a connection between said at least one control component and at least one of the first and second organic memory structures, characterised in that said passive layer comprises copper sulfide.
  2. 10
A method of fabricating an organic memory device, comprising:forming a first electrode on a substate;forming a passive layer on the first electrode (524);forming a dielectric layer over the passive layer;forming a via in the dielectric layer (530);filling the via with organic material (550);forming at least one other electrode on the organic material (556);and forming a switching device over the at least one other electrode to facilitate stacking of organic memory structures (580), characterised in that the passive layer comprises copper sulfide.
