Process to operate a gas turbine combustor

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for operating a combustion chamber (1) for a gas turbine. The combustion chamber (1) has a combustion chamber (2) and a plurality of burners (3) which are each arranged at an inlet (13) of the combustion chamber (2). The burners (3) are divided into two burner groups (4I, 4II) divided. For all burners (3) a common Oxidatorversorgung (5) is provided. For the burners (3I) of the first burner group (4I) a common first fuel supply (7) is provided. For the burners (3II) of the second burner group (4II), a common second fuel supply (9) and a common auxiliary fuel supply (11) are provided. The burner (3I) of the first fuel group (4I), a first fuel stream (8) is supplied, such that a lean fuel-oxidizer mixture is established. The burners (3II) of the second burner group (4II), a second fuel stream (10) is supplied, such that a lean fuel-oxidizer mixture is established. The first fuel stream (8) per burner (3I) of the first burner group (4I) is selected to be greater than the second fuel stream (10) per burner (3II) of the second burner group (4II). The burners (3II) of the second burner group (4II) an additional fuel stream (12) is additionally supplied.
