non-transfer cosmetic composition comprising a polymer block
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a polymer particular sequence to be applied to human keratin materials such as skin, lips, eyelashes, eyebrows, nails, hair. The composition is more particularly intended to be applied on the skin or lips.
The composition according to the invention may be a makeup composition or a care composition for keratin materials, especially the skin and lips, and preferably a makeup composition.
The makeup composition may be a lip makeup product (lipstick), a foundation, an eyeshadow, a blusher, a concealer product, an eyeliner, a body makeup product, mascara, a nail varnish, a hair makeup product.
The care composition can be a skin care product of the body and face, including a solar product, a skin coloring product (such as a self-tanning). The composition may also be a hair product, especially for holding the hairstyle or shaping the hair.
lipstick compositions and foundation are commonly used to give an aesthetic color to the lips or skin, particularly the face. These makeup products generally contain fatty phases such as waxes and oils, pigments and / or fillers and optionally additives such as cosmetic or dermatological active agents.
These compositions, when applied to the skin, exhibit the disadvantage of transferring, that is to say to be deposited at least partly, leaving traces on certain substrates with which they may be contacted including a glass, cup, a cigarette, clothing or skin. This results in mediocre persistence of the applied film, requiring regularly renew the application of the primer composition of foundation or lipstick. Moreover, the appearance of these unacceptable traces, in particular on shirt collars, can dissuade some women from using this type of makeup.
therefore sought makeup compositions for the lips and skin so-called "transfer" which have the advantage of forming a deposit that is not deposited, at least partly, on the supports with which they come into contact (glass , clothing, cigarette tissue).
To limit the transfer of cosmetic compositions, it is known to use volatile oils, especially at higher levels to 40% by weight. These volatile oils present in large amount render the makeup product, especially lipstick, uncomfortable for the user: the makeup deposit gives a sensation of dryness and tightness.
It is also known products in the form of two separate compositions to be applied one over the other on the lips to obtain a transfer-free makeup. For example, the product LIP finity MAX FACTOR is a bi-layer product, the base composition (so-called base coat) contains a silicone resin and volatile oil, and the surface composition (so-called top coat) contains an ester of sucrose (as described in WO 97/17057) to improve the comfort of the non-transfer makeup product. However, the application of two compositions for makeup may be prohibitive for some users.
The present invention aims to provide a new formulation of a cosmetic way, including makeup, obtaining a deposit having good properties of non-transfer, including without using a high rate of volatile oils, said deposit can be obtained with this single composition. The invention also aims to provide a cosmetic, particularly makeup, to obtain a deposit on the skin or lips comfortable.
The inventors have discovered that it is possible to obtain such a composition by using a particular polymer sequence as described below. The composition allows to obtain a deposit, especially a make-up keratin materials, in particular of the skin or the lips, having good transfer-resistance properties. In addition, the deposit obtained on the skin or lips causes no sensation of dryness or tautness to the user: the deposit is comfortable.
More specifically, the present invention therefore relates to a cosmetic composition comprising at least one cosmetically acceptable organic liquid medium and at least one ethylenic polymer forming linear sequenced as described below, the composition being such as defined below.
Advantageously, according to a first embodiment of the composition according to the invention, the polymer film-forming linear ethylenic block is styrene-free and is such that when present in sufficient amount in the composition, the latter is capable of forming a deposit having a lower transfer or equal to 35%.
Advantageously, according to a second embodiment of the composition according to the invention, the polymer film-forming linear ethylenic block is non-elastomeric and is such that when present in sufficient amount in the composition, this composition is capable of forming a deposit having a transfer less than or equal to 35%.
Advantageously, the composition according to the invention is capable of forming a deposit that has a transfer of less than or equal to 35%, preferably less than or equal to 30%, preferably less than or equal to 25%, preferably less than or equal to 20 %, Preferably less than or equal to 15%, preferably less than or equal to 10%, preferably less than or equal to 5%.
The invention also relates to a cosmetic process for making up or non-therapeutically caring for keratin materials, especially the skin or lips, comprising the application to the keratin materials, in particular on the skin or lips, of a composition as defined above.
The invention also relates to the use of a composition as defined above to obtain a deposit not transfer, in particular a makeup, on keratinous substances, in particular on the skin or lips.
The invention also relates to the use of a block polymer as defined above, in a cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetically acceptable organic liquid medium, for obtaining a deposit, especially a make-up, no transfer to the keratin materials, in particular on the skin or lips.
The transfer of the deposit obtained with the composition according to the invention is determined according to the protocol described below.
Preheating a support (rectangle of 40 mm X 70 mm and thickness 3 mm) of polyethylene adhesive on one side with a foam density of 33 kg / m3 (sold under the name RE40X70EP3 from the company Joint Technique Lyonnais Ind) on a hot plate maintained at a temperature of 40 ° C so that the support surface is maintained at a temperature of 33 ° C ± 1 ° C.
While leaving the support on the hotplate, the composition is applied over the entire non-adhesive surface of the support by spreading it using a brush to obtain a deposit of the composition of about 15 microns and allowed to dry during 30 minutes. After drying, the carrier is bonded via its adhesive face onto an anvil of diameter 20 mm and provided with a screw thread. The whole depot carrier is then cut using a hollow punch with a diameter of 18 mm. The anvil is then screwed onto a press (STAND MANUAL Imada SV-2 from the company Someco) equipped with a dynamometer (Imada DPS-20 from the company Someco).
A white photocopier paper 80g / m2 is placed on the base of the press and the assembly is pressed support / deposit on the paper at a pressure of 2.5 kg for 30 seconds. After removing the support / deposit assembly, some of the deposit transferred onto the paper. then measuring the color of the deposit transferred onto the paper using a Minolta CR300, color characterized by the colorimetric parameters L*, A *, b *. colorimetric parameters are determined L*rj, Q a *, b * o of the color of the plain paper used.
It then determines the color difference ΔE1 between the color of the deposit transferred relative to the color of the plain paper by the following equation.
<sub>=</sub> V (* -L<sub>0</sub>*) 2 + (a * - a<sub>0</sub>*) 2 + (b * - b<sub>0</sub>*)<sup>2</sup>
ΔE1
Furthermore, preparing a total transfer reference by applying the composition directly onto a paper identical to the one used previously, at room temperature (25 ° C), by spreading the composition using a brush and to obtain a depositing the composition of about 15 .mu.m and dried for 30 minutes at room temperature (25 ° C). After drying, the colorimetric parameters are directly measured L * ', a *', b * 'of the color of the deposit placed on the paper, corresponding to the total transfer reference color. Determining the colorimetric parameters L * 'n, a * o, b * o of the color of the plain paper used.
It then determines the color difference ΔE2 between total transfer reference color with respect to the color of the plain paper by the following equation. <sub>=</sub> V (L * '- L<sub>0</sub>* ') 2 + (a *' - has<sub>0</sub>* ')<sup>2</sup> + (B * '- b<sub>0</sub>* ')<sup>2</sup>
ΔE2
The transfer of the composition, expressed as a percentage, is the ratio:
100 X ΔE1 / ΔE2
The measurement is performed on 4 supports in succession and the transfer value is the average of the 4 measurements obtained with the 4 supports.
By organic liquid means any non-aqueous liquid product at room temperature (25 ° C).
Cosmetically acceptable organic liquid medium means a medium comprising at least one liquid organic compound at room temperature (25 ° C) and atmospheric pressure (10 ^ Pa) compatible with keratin materials, especially the skin, the lips, such as oils or organic solvents commonly employed in cosmetic compositions.
The composition according to the invention may comprise a polymer ethylene sequence forming linear sequenced styrene-free.
"Polymer free of styrene" means a polymer comprising less than 10%, preferably less than 5%, preferably less than 2%, more preferably less than 1% by weight, or does not contain, styrenic monomer such as styrene or styrene derivatives such as methylstyrene, chlorostyrene or chloromethylstyrene.
According to one embodiment, the block polymer of the composition according to the invention is derived from aliphatic ethylenic monomers. Aliphatic monomer means a monomer comprising no aromatic groups. The term "ethylenic polymer" means a polymer obtained by polymerizing monomers comprising an ethylenic unsaturation.
By "block polymer" means a polymer comprising at least two different blocks and preferably at least three distinct sequences.
The polymer is a polymer of linear structure. In contrast, a polymer non-linear structure is, for example, a polymer of branched structure, star, graft, or otherwise.
By polymer "film" means a polymer capable, by itself or in the presence of an auxiliary film-forming agent, a continuous film that adheres to a support, especially to keratin materials.
Preferably, the polymer used in the composition according to the invention comprises no silicon atoms in its skeleton. The term "skeleton" means the main chain of the polymer, as opposed to the pendent side chains.
Advantageously, the block polymer comprises at least one first block and at least one second block that have different glass transition temperatures (Tg), said first and second blocks being linked together via an intermediate block comprising at least one constituent monomer of the first sequence and at least one constituent monomer of the second block.
By "at least one block" means one or more sequences.
It was noted that in the above and following the terms "first" and "second" blocks do not in any way condition the order of the said sequences (or blocks) in the polymer structure. Preferably, the first and second blocks of said block polymer are mutually incompatible with each other.
"Mutually incompatible blocks with each other" means that the mixture formed from the polymer corresponding to the first block and the polymer corresponding to the second block is not miscible in the organic liquid majority by weight of the liquid medium organic composition at room temperature (25 ° C) and atmospheric pressure (105 Pa), for a content of the upper polymer blend or equal to 5% by weight, relative to the total weight of the mixture (polymers and solvent), it being understood that: i) the said polymers are present in the mixture in an amount such that the respective weight ratio ranges from 10/90 to 90/10, and ii) each of the polymers corresponding to the first and second blocks has an average molecular mass (weight or number) equal to that of the block polymer +/- 15% .
In the case where the organic liquid medium comprises a mixture of organic liquids, and in the event of two or more organic liquids present in identical mass proportions, the said polymer mixture is immiscible in at least one of them.
Of course, in the case where the organic liquid medium comprises a single organic liquid, the latter is the majority organic liquid.
Advantageously, the majority organic liquid of the composition is the organic solvent for polymerization of the block polymer or the majority of the organic solvent organic solvent mixtures polymerization of polymer block.
Preferably, the block polymer used for the composition according to the invention is not water soluble, i.e. the polymer is not soluble in water or in a mixture of water and linear lower monoalcohols branched having 2 to 5 carbon atoms such as ethanol, isopropanol or n-propanol, without pH modification, at an active material content of at least 1% by weight at room temperature (25 ° C).
Preferably, the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention is not an elastomer.
"Non-elastomeric polymer" means a polymer which, when subjected to a stress intended to stretch it (for example by 30% relative to its initial length), does not return to a length substantially identical to its length initial when the stress.
More specifically, "non-elastomeric polymer" denotes a polymer with an instantaneous recovery R\ <50% and a delayed recovery R2 <70% after having undergone an elongation of 30%. Preferably, Ri is <30%, and R2 hours <50%.
More specifically, the non-elastomeric nature of the polymer is determined according to the following protocol:
a polymer film is prepared by pouring a solution of the polymer in a Teflon-coated mold and then drying for 7 days in a controlled environment at 23 ± 5 ° C and 50 ± 10% relative humidity.
We then obtain a film about 100 microns thick in which are cut rectangular specimens (for example a punch) of a width of 15 mm and a length of 80 mm.
It requires that sample to a tensile stress using a machine sold under the reference Zwick, under the same conditions of temperature and humidity for drying.
The specimens are pulled at a speed of 50 mm / min and the distance between the jaws is 50 mm, which corresponds to the initial length (l0) Of the test piece.
It determines the instantaneous recovery R as follows: - The specimen is stretched by 30% (εmax), That is to say about 0.3 times its initial length (l0)
- The stress is released by applying a return speed equal to the tensile speed, ie 50 mm / min and measuring the residual of the specimen elongation percentage, after returning to zero constraint (ε {).
The% instantaneous recovery (Ri) is given by the following formula:
Ri = (εmaχ - εi) / ε<sub>my</sub>χ) x 100
To determine the delayed recovery, measuring the residual elongation of the specimen as a percentage (ε2rl).
The% delayed recovery (R2 hours) Is given by the following formula:
<img id="imgf000011_0001" he="6" wi="51" file="imgf000011_0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" orientation="portrait" inline="no" />
Purely as a guide, a polymer according to one embodiment of the invention has an instantaneous recovery R i of 10% and a delayed recovery R2n 30%.
Advantageously, the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention has a polydispersity index I of greater than 2.
The intermediate sequence is a sequence comprising at least one constituent monomer of the first block and at least one constituent monomer of the second block of the polymer used to "compatibilize" these sequences.
The polydispersity index I of the polymer is equal to the ratio of the average mass Mw to the number-average mass Mn. the average molecular weights are determined by weight (Mw) and number (Mn) by liquid chromatography by gel permeation (THF solvent, calibration curve established with linear polystyrene standards, refractometric detector). The weight-average mass (Mw) of the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention is preferably less than or equal to 300 000, it is for example from 35 000 to 200 000 and better still from 45 000 to 150 000.
The number-average mass (Mn) of the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention is preferably less than or equal to 70 000, it is for example from 10 000 to 60 000 and better still from 12 000 to 50 000.
The polydispersity index of the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention is advantageously greater than 2, for example is greater than 2 and less than or equal to 9, preferably greater than or equal to 2.5, for example ranging from
2.5 to 8 and better still greater than or equal to 2.8, in particular 2.8 to 6.
Each block of the block polymer used in the composition according to the invention is derived from one type of monomer or from several different types of monomer. This means that each block may consist of a homopolymer or a copolymer; this copolymer constituting the block may be his turn random or alternating.
Advantageously, the intermediate block comprising at least one constituent monomer of the first block and at least one constituent monomer of the second block of the polymer is a random polymer.
Preferably, the intermediate block is derived essentially from constituent monomers of the first sequence and second sequence.
By "substantially" means 85% at least, preferably at least 90%, more than 95% and even better still 100%.
Advantageously, the intermediate block has a glass transition temperature Tg between the glass transition temperatures of the first and second sequences. The glass transition temperatures indicated for the first and second blocks may be theoretical Tg values determined from the theoretical Tg values of the constituent monomers of each of the sequences, which can be found in a reference manual such as the Polymer Handbook, 3rd ed, 1989, John Wiley, according to the following relationship, known as Fox's law:
1 / Tg = Σ (tσι / Tg), i vs\ being the mass fraction of the monomer i in the block under consideration and Tgi being the glass transition temperature of the homopolymer of the monomer i.
Unless otherwise indicated, the Tg values indicated for the first and second blocks in the present patent application are theoretical Tg.
Advantageously, the first and second polymer sequences are such that the difference between the glass transition temperatures of the first and second blocks is generally greater than 10 ° C, preferably greater than 20 ° C and better still greater than 30 ° C.
In particular, the first block may be chosen from: a) a sequence having greater than or equal to Tg 40 ° C, b) a block with a Tg of less than or equal to 20 ° C, c) a block with a Tg of between 20 and 40 ° C, and the second sequence chosen from a category a), b) or c) different from the first sequence.
Is meant in the present invention, the expression "between ... and ...", a range of values which the terminals mentioned are excluded, and
"... To ..." and "from ... to ...", a range of values whose terminals are included.
a) Block with a Tg of greater than or equal to 40 ° C The block with a Tg of greater than or equal to 40 ° C for example a Tg ranging from 40 to 150 ° C, preferably greater than or equal to 50 ° C, for example ranging from 50 ° C to 120 ° C and better still greater or equal to 60 ° C, for example ranging from 60 ° C to 120 ° C.

The applicator may be free (tuft or sponge) or securely fastened to a rod borne by the closing member, as described for example in US Patent 5 492 426. The applicator may be secured to the receptacle, as described for example FR 2761959. The product may be contained directly in the container, or indirectly. For example, the product may be arranged on an impregnated support, especially in the form of a wipe or a pad, and arranged (individually or in plurality) in a box or in a sachet. Such a support incorporating the product is described for example in patent application WO 01/03538.
The closing member may be coupled to the container by screwing. Alternatively, the coupling between the closing member and the container is done other than by screwing, especially via a bayonet mechanism, by snap-fastening, gripping, welding, bonding or by magnetic attraction. "Snapping" in particular means any system involving the crossing of a bead or cord of material by elastic deformation of a portion, including the closing member, followed by return elastically unstressed position of the said portion after the crossing of the bead or cord.
The container may be at least partly made of thermoplastic material. Examples of thermoplastic materials include polypropylene or polyethylene. Alternatively, the container is made of non-thermoplastic material, especially glass or metal (or alloy).
The container may have rigid walls or deformable walls, especially in form of a tube or a tubular bottle.
The container may comprise means for causing or facilitating the distribution of the composition. For example, the container may have deformable walls so as to cause the output of the composition in response to an excess pressure inside the container, this positive pressure being caused by elastic (or non-elastic) squeezing of the container walls . Alternatively, especially when the product is in the form of a stick, the latter can be driven by a piston mechanism. Always in the case of a stick, especially of makeup product (lipstick, foundation, etc.), the container may comprise a mechanism, especially a rack or with a threaded rod or a helical groove mechanism, and capable of moving a stick in the direction of said opening. Such a mechanism is described for example in FR 2806273 or in patent FR 2 775 566. Such a mechanism for a liquid product is described in FR 2,727,609.
The container may consist of a carton with a base delimiting at least one housing containing the composition, and a lid, especially articulated on the base, and capable of covering at least partially said bottom. Such a case is described for example in application WO 03/018423 or in patent FR 2 791 042.
The container may be equipped with a drainer arranged in the vicinity of the container opening. Such a drainer makes it possible to wipe the applicator and possibly the rod to which it may be secured. Such a drainer is described for example in FR 2792618.
The composition may be at atmospheric pressure inside the container (at room temperature) or pressurized, especially by means of a propellent gas (aerosol). In the latter case, the container is equipped with a valve (of the type used for aerosols).
The content of the patents or patent applications mentioned above are incorporated by reference in the present application.
The invention is further illustrated by the examples described below.
