According to the invention in a hearing aid with at least one programmable signal processing device (1) for temporary or permanent activation respectively. Deactivation of functions of the hearing aid at least one counter (4) for the detection of discrete operations available. Furthermore, at least one threshold value assigned to such a process is stored, and upon reaching or exceeding this threshold value by the counter (4), an action directed to the signal processing device (1) is triggered. As long as the threshold value of the counter (4) is not reached, the hearing aid works according to its predetermined resp. programmed functions without restrictions.
