    An image drawing apparatus that draws an object (210, 220, 230) existing in a virtual three-dimensional space by perspective-transformation onto a virtual screen (603, 603F, 603N) from a viewpoint (601) of a virtual camera, comprising:a rough model data storage (105, 107, 131) that stores rough model data (302) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by a predetermined multiple number of polygons;a detailed model data storage (105, 107, 131) that stores detailed model data (300, 301) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by more polygons than the predetermined number of polygons;a field divider (103, 111) that divides an image-drawing field (605), which is an image drawing range in the virtual three-dimensional space, into a first field (605F) and a second field (605N) with reference to a position of the viewpoint (601);a first object determining section (103) that determines whether at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);a rough model drawer (111, 112) that draws an image obtained by perspective-transforming polygons of the rough model data (302) of the part of the object included in the first field (605F) when at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);a second object determining section (103) that determines whether at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N);a detailed model determining section (103) that determines when at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N) the part of the object included in the second field by determining for each polygon of the detailed model data (300, 301) whether the polygon is included in the second field (605N);and a detailed model drawer (111, 112) that draws an image obtained by perspective-transforming those polygons of the detailed model data (300, 301) of the part of the object included in the second field (605N), which have been determined to be included in the second field (605N) by said detailed model determining section (103), wherein the object (210, 220, 230) comprises multiple objects;and wherein said field divider (103) divides the image-drawing field (605) into the first field (605F) and the second field (605N) at a boundary position that is different for each of the multiple objects.

    An image drawing method for drawing an object (210, 220, 230), which exists in a virtual three-dimensional space and which has rough model data (302) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by a predetermined multiple number of polygons and detailed model data (301, 302) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by more polygons than the predetermined number of polygons, by perspective-transformation onto a virtual screen (603, 603F, 603N) from a viewpoint (601) of a virtual camera, comprising the steps of:dividing an image-drawing field (605), which is an image drawing range in the virtual three-dimensional space, into a first field (605F) and a second field (605N) with reference to a position of the viewpoint (601);determining (S205) whether at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);drawing (S209) an image obtained by perspective-transforming polygons of the rough model data (302) of the part of the object included in the first field (605F) when at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);determining (S213) whether at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N);determining (S216) when at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N) the part of the object included in the second field by determining for each polygon of the detailed model data (300, 301) whether the polygon is included in the second field (605N);and drawing (S217) an image obtained by perspective-transforming those polygons of the detailed model data (300, 301) of the part of the object included in the second field (605N), which have been determined to be included in the second field (605N), wherein the object (210, 220, 230) comprises multiple objects;and wherein said dividing step divides the image-drawing field (605) into the first field (605F) and the second field (605N) at a boundary position that is different for each of the multiple objects.

    A computer-readable storage medium that records a program for drawing an object (210, 220, 230), which exists in a virtual three-dimensional space and which has rough model data (302) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by a predetermined multiple number of polygons and detailed model data (300, 301) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by more polygons than the predetermined number of polygons, by perspective-transformation onto a virtual screen (603, 603F, 603N) from a viewpoint (601) of a virtual camera, wherein the program causes a computer apparatus to execute:dividing an image-drawing field (605), which is an image drawing range in the virtual three-dimensional space, into a first field (605F) and a second field (605N) with reference to a position of the viewpoint (601);determining (S205) whether at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);drawing (S209) an image obtained by perspective-transforming polygons of the rough model data (302) of the part of the object included in the first field (605F) when at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);determining (S213) whether at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N);determining (S216) when at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N) the part of the object included in the second field by determining for each polygon of the detailed model data (300, 301) whether the polygon is included in the second field (605N);and drawing (S217) an image obtained by perspective-transforming those polygons of the detailed model data (300, 301) of the part of the object included in the second field (605N), which have been determined to be included in the second field (605N), wherein the object (210, 220, 230) comprises multiple objects;and wherein said dividing step divides the image-drawing field (605) into the first field (605F) and the second field (605N) at a boundary position that is different for each of the multiple objects.

    A carrier wave superimposed with a data signal of a program for drawing an object (210, 220, 230), which exists in a virtual three-dimensional space and which has rough model data (302) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by a predetermined multiple number of polygons and detailed model data (300, 301) that forms the object (210, 220, 230) by more polygons than the predetermined number of polygons, by perspective-transformation onto a virtual screen (603, 603F, 603N) from a viewpoint (601) of a virtual camera, wherein the program causes a computer apparatus to execute:dividing an image-drawing a field (605), which is an image drawing range in the virtual three-dimensional space, into a first field (605F) and a second field (605N) with reference to a position of the viewpoint (601);determining (S205) whether at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);drawing (S209) an image obtained by perspective-transforming polygons of the rough model data (302) of the part of the object included in the first field (605F) when at least a part of the object is included in the first field (605F);determining (S213) whether at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N);determining (S216) when at least a part of the object is included in the second field (605N) the part of the object included in the second field by determining for each polygon of the detailed model data (300, 301) whether the polygon is included in the second field (605N);and drawing (S217) an image obtained by perspective-transforming those polygons of the detailed model data (300. 301) of the part of the object included in the second field (605N), which have been determined to be included in the second field (605N), wherein the object (210, 220, 230) comprises multiple objects;and wherein said dividing step divides the image-drawing field (605) into the first field (605F) and the second field (605N) at a boundary position that is different for each of the multiple objects.
