Method and apparatus for the electronic capture of rolled fingerprints

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the optoelectronic recording of a moving object, in particular for receiving a finger which has been unrolled on a support surface. The task of finding a new way to electronically record unrolled fingerprints, which allows high-resolution single frame images with a high frame rate for seamless composition of the individual images to an overall image, is achieved according to the invention by the location and size of the object (1) in a figure (32) enclosing the object (1) is determined at least one of the individual images read from the image recording unit (2), from the enclosing figure (32) a rectangle (33) which is enlarged by tolerance additions and parallel to the row and column direction of FIG Sensor (22) is determined, and in that the enlarged rectangle (33) for predicting and adjusting the size and position of an active pixel area (23) of the image acquisition unit (2) is used for at least one subsequently readable image (31) such that the read active pixel area (23) of the image acquisition unit (2) always kept small due to its adaptation and a higher frame rate is realized in the sensor reading or data transmission.
