  1. 1
Claims of equivalent WO 2004008180 A2 CLAIMS What is claimed is:1. A method for constructing a false-color image, comprising: loading a PDB into a visualization program;selecting from two or four data channels;then determining if any three of the data channels form a vector quantity;and if so, piping one component of the vector into the first channel;then piping one component of the vector into the second channel;then piping one component of the vector into the third channel;then piping a discriminator into a fourth channel;then displaying the results in a program (The present invention);then determining if the geology of interest is isolated;and if not, then determining if it is converging on a solution;and if so, then modifying the opacity;then returning to the step of displaying the results in a program;and if the step of converging on a solution is no;then returning to the step of selecting from two to four data channels;and if the step of determining if the geology of interest is isolated is yes;then saving the results and ending the method;and if the step of determining if any three of the data channels form a vector quantity is no;then piping a secondary discriminator into the first channel;then piping a primary modifier into the second data channel;then piping the secondary modifier into the third data channel;then piping the primary discriminator into the fourth data channel;then displaying the results in a program (The present invention);then determining if the geology of interest has unique colors;and if not, then determining if the process is converging on a solution;and if so, then modifying the hue mapping and modifying the range;then returning to the step of displaying the results in a program;and if the step of determining the geology of interest has unique colors, then displaying the results in a program;then determining if the geology of interest has many colors;and if not, then determining whether or not the process is converging on a solution;and if so, then modifying the saturation mapping and the saturation range;then returning to the step of displaying the results in the program (The present invention);thereafter determining if the geology of interest has light colors;and if not, then converging on a solution;and if so, then modifying the value and the mapping range;and returning to the step of displaying the results in a program (The present invention);and if so, then displaying the results of the program;and then determining if the geology of interest is isolated;and if so, then performing the steps of saving the results;and ending the method;otherwise, determining if the method is converging on a solution;and if so, then modifying the opacity;and then performing the step of displaying the results in the program;and in all of the instances where the step of converging on a solution is no, then returning to the step of selecting from two to four data channels.
  2. 2
A method for generating an image, comprising:loading a pattern database into a visualization program on a digital computer;selecting from either two or four data channels;determining if any of said data channels forms a vector quantity;and displaying said image depending upon results of said step of determining.
  3. 7
A method for generating an image comprising:receiving raw seismic data in the form of a set of voxels;processing each of said voxels to calculate one or more hyperdimensional templates;assigning a color to each of said hyperdimensional templates;comparing said hyperdimensional templates to patterns stored in a pattern database;identifying matches between said hyperdimensional templates and said patterns;visualizing said matches by displaying only said colors of said hyperdimensional templates that satisfy said match.
  4. 21
A method for visualizing geophysical information comprising:loading a pattern database into a visualization program;and displaying said pattern database with said visualization program.
  5. 30
The method of 21 , said method further comprising:selecting a data channel;and piping said data channel into a color channel.
  6. 55
A method for visualizing a figure of interest comprising:loading information from a pattern database;and visualizing said information.
