  1. 1
A folding mobile terminal (1), which has a plurality of chassis (2, 4) constituting a main body of the folding mobile terminal, a lock mechanism (50) and an authentication unit (60), in which the lock mechanism is adapted to detect an open or closed state of the plurality of chassis, and to inhibit any manipulations of the folding mobile terminal based on lock by the lock mechanism (50), and to unlock the lock mechanism to allow a manipulation of the folding mobile terminal in response to a user being authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit (60), the folding mobile terminal comprising:control means (30, 101) adapted to start supply of an electric power to the authentication unit (60) in response to an occurrence of an incoming call operation, which is from an external apparatus to the folding mobile terminal, for voice communication or data communication in the folding mobile terminal (1) during the lock by the mechanism (50), and to unlock the lock mechanism when a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit.
  2. 4
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said control means (39, 101) is adapted to inform a user that the electric power is supplied to the authentication unit by utilizing at least one of a sound, light, and a vibration.
  3. 5
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the data communication is reception of an email.
  4. 6
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the authentication unit (60) is a fingerprint authentication unit (601) for carrying out user authentication based on results of comparison of information representing a fingerprint which is newly read during the supply of the electric power with fingerprint information of the legitimate user which is registered in advance.
  5. 7
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the lock mechanism (50) is a mechanical lock mechanism .
  6. 8
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the lock mechanism (50) is adapted to electronically control the chassis (2, 4) thereby allowing or preventing an input manipulation for the folding mobile terminal by a user.
  7. 9
The folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized by further comprising manipulation means (421) for allowing the supply of the electric power to the authentication unit (60) being in the locked state to be started in accordance with a manipulation by a user, wherein said control means (50) is adapted to unlock the lock mechanism (50) when a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit even when the predetermined event does not occur.
  8. 10
A method of controlling a folding mobile terminal (1), which has a plurality of chassis (2, 4) constituting a main body of the folding mobile terminal, a lock mechanism (50) and an authentication unit (60), in which the lock mechanism regulates user's opening/closing manipulation of the plurality of chassis and any of manipulations for the folding mobile terminal are inhibited based on lock by the lock means and the lock mechanism is unlocked to allow a manipulation for the folding mobile terminal in response to that a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit, the method comprising the steps of:starting (S14) supply of an electric power to the authentication unit (60) in response to an occurrence of an incoming call operation, which is from an external apparatus to the folding mobile terminal, for voice communication or data communication in the folding mobile terminal (1) during the lock by the lock mechanism (50);and unlocking (S23) the lock mechanism when a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit.
  9. 13
A computer program for operation control for a folding mobile terminal (1), which has a plurality of chassis (2, 4) constituting a main body of the folding mobile terminal, a lock mechanism (50) and an authentication unit (60), in which the lock mechanism regulates user's opening/closing manipulation of the plurality of chassis and any of manipulations for the folding mobile terminal are inhibited based on lock by the lock mechanism and the lock mechanism is unlocked to allow a manipulation for the folding mobile terminal in response to that a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit (60), the computer program being caused a computer to execute:a control functions for starting supply of an electric power to the authentication unit (60) in response to an occurrence of an incoming call operation, which is from an external apparatus to the folding mobile terminal, for voice communication or data communication occurs in the folding mobile terminal (1) during the lock by the lock mechanism (50), and for unlocking the lock function when a user is authenticated as a legitimate user by the authentication unit.
  10. 14
The method of controlling a folding mobile terminal according to any one of claims 10 to 12, characterized in that the data communication is reception of an e-mail.
