System for accessing content items over a network

The invention relates to a content provision service system to enable a consumer (24) to access at least one content item, which is provided by at least one content provider (13), via a network, that comprises the steps of:providing at least one content item to a user via said network,enabling the user (21) to recommend at least one of the at least one content item and/or a group of content items relating thereto to the consumer via said network, andenabling the consumer (24) to select said recommended at least one content item and/or group of content items relating thereto and to retrieve the selected content item(s) via said network from the at least one content provider.
