0001The invention relates to a rope connector for connecting one another not crossing rope sections of at least one cable, in particular an area expandable to form joints, flexible Network arrangement with at junctions interconnected cable sections, which means in the specified assembly state laterally closed, sleeve-like connecting parts are connected to each other.
0002From DE 41 00 944 C1 is a chair with a rope made of flexible sections formed covering at least one carrier to form the Contact surface in the region of the backrest and / or the seat surface in the region the squab known, immediately adjacent cable sections in its longitudinal direction, spaced from each other to form a two-dimensional Netting arrangement are interconnected with diamond-shaped mesh. The pertinent cable sections are made from cables or metallic Strands formed, and not intersecting the permanent connection to each other Cable sections serve to the joint or node locations by external force compressible sleeve-like connecting parts, particularly in the form of compression sleeves or ferrules. The pertinent Ferrules or ferrules form laterally self-contained Connection parts are made, the free at their end faces opening cross-sections have to introduce or threading connected to each other Cable sections of Stringing network arrangement. Before pressing the sleeve-like connecting parts these are therefore within the power assembly at their respective connecting position partly over the entire lead length of the network and to position, and then subsequently with a suitable crimping tool pairs to connect with each other arranged cable sections power flush to connect. Although such with the known solution very high clamping forces and compound can muster, this connection technique is through the guide the cable connector over long distances to the positioning below streamline the die only at great expense and the maximum to be produced net lengths are limited.
0003To overcome these drawbacks, suggests the DE 199 34 240 A1 a not crossing rope connector for permanent connection of each other Cable sections before, a first member and a non-detachable connection to the with the first member having formed second component, wherein those two components in the manner of a rivet connection such connectable to each other and adapted to the cable sections are that the male and be fixed adjacent cable sections clamped are set in recesses on the cable connector. Due to the basic design of the cable connector of two components or Components that connect with one another only by means of a riveted joint are, an automated process for the mesh generation is also more difficult; in particular the need to be interconnected components the cable connector, which are different from each other constructively pairs merged for each node to create junction only manifest will. This also results in increased manufacturing costs for the manufacture of networks of cable sections.
0004Starting from this prior art, the invention has the task based on the known cable connector while retaining their advantages, namely to ensure high bonding strength, further developed to be improve that in any case the power production largely automated is simple and inexpensive to carry out, as well as the length of the nets can be varied as desired. This object is achieved by a rope connector with the features of claim 1 in its entirety.
0005Because according to the characterizing part of claim 1 the respective connecting part in the initial state before assembly of at least a body part is that of each other to load connectable cable sections having a lateral insertion opening, that at at least one end of at least one of each body part Connecting means is provided, and that in the set condition installation the connection means of one or more body parts together are connected to the respective cable connector can be at almost preset filter junctions of the netting arrangement on the Set adjacent assignable cable sections, the pertinent is fastening process can be automated, but still by hand can be made, especially when only small areas at Network configurations are required.
0006In contrast to the known in the prior art open press sleeves or ferrules that after their pressing along a side portion remain open as before, the cable connector according to the invention is fixed by means of said connecting means along a longitudinal seam, that is, the adjacent ends of the cable connector used for Body parts form a self-retaining sleeve or Ferrule, so that in this way not only a simple assembly and Fastening process is achieved, but because of the closed sleeve assembly can be such very high clamping forces and compound the adjacently arranged cable sections at their Junctions exercise. Since the merits of the cable connector located can be realized with only one body part, is so far the invention Fastening technology for creating network arrangements also very cost-effective.
0007In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention Cable connector, the respective connecting means is made of a seam, especially weld or formed of an interlocking. In another different kind of embodiment of the invention Rope connector is also possible that along a separating seam interlocking hooking additionally the weld another fix. Because of these interlocking can be in any case such for the sleeve Seilverbinder not only a non-positive, but also realize a form-locking connection, which a favorable effect on the application of force from the cable sections the rope connector affects itself. If the connecting means of a Weld is a material locking connection is realized and at a Combination of these joining techniques besides stoffschlüssigen- also a positive connection.
0008In a preferred embodiment of the cable connector of the invention it is provided that the respective body part at least one of its two ends has at least one recess, into a definable catch part of the other end or a other body part can be engaged. Preferably has the locking part at least one undercut, in particular in the Kind of a step, a trapezoid, an omega or in Zinnen- or S-shaped Training and in the manner of a retaining claw. Dependent on the respective fastening task can be such a wide range establish the necessary connection respectively.
0009Next, the cable connector according to the invention based on the drawing is explained in more detail. The figures are schematic and not to scale view the

Fig. 1

a section of a network arrangement consisting of individual Cable sections of a rope;

FIG. 2

in a perspective view an embodiment of an in Net arrangement according to the Fig 1 used cable connector.

FIGS. 3a-g

in plan view differently designed locking part forms to Joining the free ends of the main body portion in correspondence according to the embodiment of FIG. 2, FIG 3g. a end view of the sleeve-like Seilverbinder relates to Figures 3a to 3f.

FIG. 4a, b

a modified embodiment of a cable connector comprising of two basic parts of the body, even in the released and once a mated condition.

0010The FIG. 1 shows a section of a designated as a whole with 10 area expandable, flexible network configuration. The respective network arrangement 10 is partially wrapped around a frame 12, to the effect to fix the network. The respective frame 12 may be part be a piece of furniture or a building. be particular to rope net arrangements use of FIG. 1 as a railing filling, as fall protection for buildings, as protective nets for facade greening, Zoo and exhibition architecture or, more generally, in the design and Furniture industry, as well as for networks in the technical field.
0011The network shown in FIG. 1 is made up of individual cable sections 14 at least a rope formed with adjacent, non-intersecting cable sections 14, by the formation of nodular joints the cable connector can be another set. The respective cable connector forms a sleeve-like connecting part 16 made of, at both opposed end faces 18 (see. Figs. 2 and 3g) connected to the Couples switched to cable sections 14 and exit. The respective Connecting portion 16 is in the initial state prior to assembly as in is FIG. 1, of at least one base body part 20 (see FIG. Fig. 2) to insert the interconnectable cable sections 14 a lateral insertion opening 22. At the two opposite Ends 24, 26 is for the particular body part 20 at least a connecting means provided 28 and the fixed mounting state are adjacent opposite connection means 28 one or more body parts 20 connected to each other.
00123a can According to the illustration of Fig. 28 from the connecting means be a weld 30 is formed, which in the closed state of the sleeve-like Cable connector, the two ends 24, 26 sets each.
0013Preferably, however, the respective connecting means 28 of a Interlocking 32 formed, the respective body part 20 to its two opposite ends 24, 26 the pertinent Hooking 32.. The body member 20 may consist of a be formed flat or curved strip, preferably made of steel or Stainless steel sheet; but may, depending on the forces to be absorbed also made of another material, in particular made of plastic material.
0014Referring particularly to FIG. 2 shows, the respective base body part 20 at one end 26 a recess 34, into which a definable Locking member 36 is in register be introduced as soon as the clamp-type connector cable is closed to the sleeve. Here, in a first method step the detent part 36 are brought into engagement with the assignable Latching recess 34 and in a further process step is then introduced the pertinent composite on the side in the opening 22 pressed two adjacent cable sections 14, so that such a either force positive clamping joint.
0015In the latching embodiment of FIG. 2, the T-shaped recess 34 bounded by two lateral latching legs 38, in the associated recesses 40 at the other end 24 engage with the locking part 36, which as far as the latching part 36 for engagement in the locking recess 34 likewise T-shaped and flank the two recesses 40 on both sides the pertinent latching part 36. By tapering the latching leg 38 to its free end block the two recesses 40 an undesired release movement, so that in this way a pincer-like Clamping grip is achieved for the actual locking part 36th
0016Instead of the shown in FIG. 2, T-joint solution with concave and convex structured investment faces the hooking 32 after FIG. 3b is formed step-like manner and according to the FIG. 3c trapezoidal. The Fig. 3d and 3e show zinnen- or s-shaped hooking means 32 and in the solution according to Fig. 3f the pertinent hooking means 32 realized with an omega-shaped locking part 36th The shown in the figures Interlocking solution can along the two ends 24, 26 in multiple sequential arrangement more latching portions (not shown) exhibit. The Verhakungsmittellösungen to f exemplified in Figs. 3a is all an undercut together, which a pincer-like Clamp handle has the consequence which to a significant increase in strength located transversely relative to the on the market open terminals result has; So an increase in strength in the direction transversely to the inlet and outlet, the cable sections in the novel Rope connector.
0017In a further embodiment of the cable connector of the invention of FIG. 4, the two main body parts 20 are formed arc-shaped, and can either be separated from extruded longitudinal profiles or are designed as Stanzbiegeteile as the previous solutions. The respective body parts 20 have in turn at its free end each a hooking 32, in the manner of retaining claws 42. The pertinent retaining claws 42 can be as shown by FIG. 4 clipping with each other in such a way the adjacent cable sections 14 to one another to define. The retaining claws mentioned 42 again form latching recesses 34 made in which the assignable Locking parts 36 of the other base body part 20 in the state verclipsten can intervene.
0018With the cable connector inventive solution is in the pre a sort of open terminal realized that for pairwise fixing of cable sections may be used or ropes, and in contrast to the conventionally known terminal is characterized in that by a special shaping in securing the clamp attributable to the Cable sections in addition to the frictional connection, a form-fitting or achieved material connection or a combination of material-fit and form-fit is that the clamp connection additional strength in cable transversely adds, to that extent, the strength values of a closed Terminal can be reached.
0019Instead of the embodiment shown in Figs. 4a and 4b, in an Solution not shown the one fixing claw connection (Not shown) by a hinge-like joint or the like be replaced, so that then the two main body parts 20 a in style enclose pliers for a fixing process, the two cable sections 14 can then facing away on the opposite side from the hinge Side the connection via the retaining claws 42 make to can.
