Substrate with photocatalytic coating

Abstract

The subject of the invention is the use of a substrate (1) with a glass-base, ceramic or glass-ceramic base, provided on at least a part of at least one of its faces with a thin layer (2) forming a barrier alkali migration from the substrate (1), surmounted by a coating (3) photocatalytic property comprising at least partially crystallized titanium oxide and whose thickness is between 5 and 100 nm, said coating having the effect of solar radiation on photocatalytic properties and a pronounced hydrophilic character, to eliminate by runoff of water, in particular rain, the organic and inorganic soils deposited on said coating.
