4 claims: 1 independent, 3 dependent

  1. 1
An inkjet head (1), comprising:a laminated structure including a plurality of pressure chambers (10), each of which being configured such that an end thereof is connected to a discharging nozzle (8) and the other end is connected to an ink supplier and arranged along a plane to neighbor each other;characterized by : a plurality of actuator units (21) for the plurality of pressure chambers (10), each of the actuator units (21) including one or more active layers (41-43), each active layer (41-43) made of a piezoelectric sheet sandwiched by a common electrode (34a, 34b) being kept at a constant potential and an individual electrode (35a, 35b);the active layers (41-43) of each one of the plurality of actuator units (21) being arranged along a longitudinal direction of the laminated structure and fixed to a surface of the laminated structure for changing the volume of each pressure chamber (10), each active layer (41-43) of the actuator units (21) including a plurality of pressure generation portions, each of which is provided by a position of a respective individual electrode (35a, 35b), the pressure generation portions respectively corresponding to the pressure chambers (10), and each of the actuator units (21) being formed to extend over an associated plurality of pressure chambers (10).
  2. 3
The ink-jet head according to one of claims 1 to 2 , wherein the plurality of pressure chambers (10) are arranged in a matrix to neighbor each other.
  3. 4
The ink-jet head according to one of claims 1 to 3 , wherein each of the actuator units (21) has a substantially trapezoidal shape, and the plurality of actuator units (21) are arranged in lines in a zigzag manner so that parallel opposed sides of each of the actuator units (21) extend along the longitudinal direction of the laminated structure and oblique sides of each neighboring actuator unit (21) overlap each other in the lateral direction of the laminated structure.
