A controller of a induction-heating fixing device

A fixing controller includes: a main control circuit (212) that includes a main central processing unit (211) for controlling all operations of an image forming apparatus; a temperature sensor (207) that detects a temperature of a heated fixing member (204); an excitation coil (205) that receives a current supply and inductively heats the heated fixing member; and an induction-heating control circuit (214) that includes a sub central processing unit (215) independent of the main central processing unit, and controls the current supply to said excitation coil. In this fixing controller, the main central processing unit outputs only a power control signal as a control instruction to the sub central processing unit, based on the temperature detected by said temperature sensor.
