    A stimulus-sensitive composition comprising a compound that generates one of an acid and a radical by external stimulation, the compound being represented by formula (I):wherein    Y represents an aryl group, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, a -C(=O)-Y3a group or a -Y3b-C(=O)-Y3c group (wherein Y3a and Y3c each represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, a hydroxyl group, a -NR3R4 group, a -NHC(=O)-R3 group or a -NHSO2R3 group, wherein R3 and R4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group, and Y3b represents a divalent linking group resulting from removal of one hydrogen atom from the Y3a),    R1 and R2 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, the -C(=O)-Y3a group or the -Y3b-C(=O)-Y3c group, and R1 and R2 may combine to form a ring,    Y1 and Y2 each independently represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, the -C(=O)-Y3a group or the -Y3b-C(=O)-Y3c group, and Y1 and Y2 may combine to form a ring,    Y and R1 may combine to form a ring,    provided that (i) at least one of Y, Y1, Y2, R1 and R2 is the -C(=O)-Y3a group or the -Y3b-C(=O)-Y3c group, or (ii) at least one of the ring formed by the combining of R1 and R2, the ring formed by the combining of Y1 and Y2, the ring formed by the combining of Y and R1, Y, Y1, Y2, R1 and R2 contains the -C(=O)-Y3a group or the -Y3b-C(=O)-Y3c group, and    X- represents a non-nucleophilic anion.
