Method and apparatus for absorbing a medium into a capillary device

The application relates to a method and an arrangement for receiving a first medium (403), which is in a first phase, into a capillary device. In this case, a negative pressure is generated in the capillary, which is smaller than a critical bottom pressure. The British negative pressure is so great that when it is being exerted in the capillary device, a surface tension generated by the first medium completely absorbed in the capillary device is just overcome. This prevents a second medium (502), which is present in a second phase, which is different from the first phase, from being absorbed into the capillary device.
