A device for monitoring and controlling equipment for the production of ice cream, milkshake or the like has at least one corresponding device and a base station. The devices are installed at the respective customers. The base station, however, is located at the manufacturer or central distribution of the devices. The individual devices transmit data to the base station, so that the manufacturer is always informed about the operating status of the individual devices and, if necessary, can intervene in the functioning of the devices without having to work locally on the individual devices.
