  1. 1
An apparatus comprising:(A) an ND filter (502) which limits incident light;and (B) an iris (503) which limits the incident light;said apparatus being characterized by further comprising: (C) changing means (509, 512, 513, 515) for changing a speed of changing of limitation of the incident light by said iris, so as to set the speed in a second case slower than that in a first case, the first case being a state when said ND filter is being moved into a position on an optical path or when said ND filter is being removed from the position on the optical path, the second case being a state when said ND filter is located on the position on the optical path or when said ND filter is not located on the position on the optical path.
  2. 4
A control method for a quantity-of-light adjusting apparatus having an iris (503) and an ND filter (502) which limit incident light, said control method being characterized by comprising:changing a speed of changing of limitation of the incident light by said iris, so as to set the speed in a second case slower than that in a first case, the first case being a state when said ND filter is being moved into a position on an optical path or when said ND filter is being removed from the position on the optical path, the second case being a state when said ND filter is located on the position on the optical path or when said ND filter is not located on the position on the optical path.
  3. 7
An apparatus comprising:(A) an ND filter (502) which limits incident light;and (B) a light receiving sensor (504) which receives the incident light;said apparatus being characterized by comprising: (C) changing means (505, 517, 518, 519) for changing a speed of changing of a gain of output of said light receiving sensor, so as to set the speed in a first case faster than that in a second case, the first case being a state when said ND filter is being moved into a position on an optical path or when said ND filter is being removed from the position on the optical path, the second case being a state when said ND filter is located on the position on the optical path or when said ND filter is not located on the position on the optical path.
  4. 10
A control method for a quantity-of-light adjusting apparatus having an ND filter (502) which limits incident light and a light receiving sensor (504) which receives the incident light, said control method being characterized by comprising:changing a speed of changing of a gain of output of said light receiving sensor, so as to set the speed in a first case faster than that in a second case, the first case being a state when said ND filter is being moved into a position on an optical path or when said ND filter is being removed from the position on the optical path, the second case being a state when said ND filter is located on the position on the optical path or when said ND filter is not located on the position on the optical path.
