Multichannel radio transmission system

A multichannel radio transmission system with very high transmission capacity, in which the frequency channels are transmitted and received in the frequency and space division multiplex, consists in that the frequency channels (C11,..., Ckm) are multiplexed in a number of frequency channel groups (FG1,. FGM), that each frequency channel group (FG1, ..., FGM) is divided into equal power components on as many filters (F11, ..., FMN) in a beamforming network (BF) as are antenna elements (A1, .. ., AN) of a group antenna, that each filter (F11, ..., FMN) has a transmission bandwidth encompassing all the frequencies of its associated frequency channel group (FG1, ..., FGM) and that the transfer function of each filter (F11, .. ., FMN) is adjustable over its coefficients so that for each frequency channel (C11, ...,Ckm) of the filter associated frequency channel group (FG1, ..., FGM) an individual antenna characteristic can be generated.
