11 claims: 8 independent, 3 dependent

  1. 1
A photo-curable composition comprising the following components (A) to (C):(A) a hydrolyzable silane compound represented by the general formula (1), a hydrolyzate thereof or a condensate in hydrolyzates thereof         (R 1 ) p Si(X) 4-p      (1) wherein R 1 is a non- hydrolyzable organic group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, X is a hydrolyzable group, and p is an integer of 0 to 3;(B) a photo acid generator;and (C) a dehydrating agent.
  2. 4
The photo-curable composition according to anyone of claims 1 to 3, wherein a vinyl polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group which is other than component (A) and which is represented by the following general formula (3) is further added as component (F), wherein R 2 groups are independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a monovalent organic group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R 3 is a single bond or a divalent organic group having 1 to 200 carbon atoms, t is an integer of 1 to 1, 000 , and R 1 , X and p have the same meaning as defined in the general formula (1).
  3. 5
The photo-curable composition according to anyone of claims 1 to 4, wherein a hydrolyzable titanium compound represented by the following general formula (4) is added as component (G),         Ti(X) 4      (4) wherein X has the same meaning as defined in the general formula (1).
  4. 6
The photo-curable composition according to anyone of claims 1 to 5, wherein metal oxide particles are added as component (H).
  5. 7
The photo-curable composition according to any of claims 1 to 6, wherein the dehydrating agent is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of carboxylates, acetals and carboxylic anhydrides.
  6. 8
The photo-curable composition according to any of claims 1 to 7, wherein the amount of the dehydrating agent added is in the range of 0.1 to 100 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of component (A).
  7. 9
A photo-curing method of preparing a photo-cured product which comprises the step of curing a photo-curable composition as defined in any of claims 1 to 8 by radiation.
  8. 11
A photo-cured product obtainable by the method according to any of claims 9 or 10.
