Radio information communication system using multi-carrier spread spectrum transmission system and signal collision detection method

Abstract

In a radio information communication system of this invention, the system attaches collision detecting signals to first periods of the head ends of a plurality of divided bit strings, transmits the bit strings by use of a plurality of different carrier frequencies, checks whether or not a signal other than the collision detection signal transmitted by itself is included in a period containing the first period of the head ends of a plurality of received bit strings subjected to the primary demodulation, determines that collision has occurred when it is determined that the signal other than the collision detection signal transmitted by itself is included, and interrupts transmission of the transmission data.

  1. 1
A radio information communication system for transmitting data between a plurality of radio stations via a radio transmission path, characterized in that each of said radio stations comprises:dividing means for dividing at least part of a transmission data stream into different transmission bit strings and outputting the same;collision detection signal transmitting means for transmitting a collision detection signal to a first period of the head end of the different transmission bit strings output from the dividing means;primary modulation means for primarily modulating each of first carrier signals of different frequencies based on a corresponding one of the different transmission bit strings output from the collision detection signal transmitting means;secondary modulation means for secondarily modulating each of the first carrier signals modulated by the primary modulation means in use of a spread spectrum scheme and outputting a plurality of second carrier signals;transmission means for transmitting the plurality of second carrier signals output from the secondary modulation means to the radio transmission path in parallel;receiving means for receiving second carrier signals of different frequencies transmitted from another radio station via the radio transmission path;secondary demodulation means for secondarily demodulating the second carrier signals received by the receiving means in synchronism with a secondary modulation operation by secondary modulation means of said another radio station and outputting a plurality of first carrier signals;primary demodulation means for primarily demodulating the plurality of first carrier signals output from the secondary demodulation means and outputting a plurality of reception bit strings of base band;synthesizing means for combining the plurality of reception bit strings output from the primary demodulation means and reproducing a reception received data stream;determining means for determining whether a signal other than the collision detection signal transmitted from the radio station itself is contained in a second period including at least a first period of the head end of the plurality of reception bit strings output from said primary demodulation means;and collision detection means for detecting collision of signals on the radio transmission path based on the determination result obtained by said determining means.
  2. 4
A signal collision detection method used in a system for transmitting a communication signal between a plurality of radio stations via a radio transmission path, characterized by comprising:a first step of permitting a radio station of the plurality of radio stations, which requests transmission of communication signal, to transmit a collision detection signal to said radio transmission path during a preset first period prior to transmission of the communication signal;a second step of permitting said radio station, which requests transmission of the communication signal, to determine whether or not a signal other than the collision detection signal transmitted by the radio station itself is received during a second period including at least said first period;and a third step of permitting said radio station, which requests transmission of the communication signal, to detect collision of signals on the radio transmission path based on the determination result obtained at the second step.
