  1. 1
An optical disk (1) comprising a read-only area (4) in which a plurality of read-only tracks are formed and a rewritable area (3) in which a plurality of rewritable tracks are formed,    wherein each of the plurality of read-only tracks is divided into a plurality of first sectors,    a signal is pre-recorded in at least one of the plurality of first sectors under a predetermined reproduction format,    each of the plurality of rewritable tracks is divided into a plurality of second sectors,    the read-only area (4) is located on an inner portion of the optical disk (1), while the rewritable area (3) is located on an outer portion of the optical disk, and    a connection zone is provided between the read-only area (4) and the rewritable area (3),     characterised in that the connection zone is a mirror zone, and in that    a signal is recorded in at least one of the plurality of second sectors under a predetermined recording format, the predetermined recording format including the predetermined reproduction format and further including another part specific to the predetermined recording format.
  2. 2
An optical disk (1) comprising a read-only area (4) in which a plurality of read-only tracks are formed and a rewritable area (3) in which a plurality of rewritable tracks are formed,    wherein each of the plurality of read-only tracks is divided into a plurality of first sectors having a first sector length,    a signal is pre-recorded in at least one of the    plurality of first sectors under a predetermined reproduction format corresponding to the first sector length,    each of the plurality of rewritable tracks is divided into a plurality of second sectors having a second sector length,    the read-only area (4) is located on an inner portion of the optical disk (1), while the rewritable area (3) is located on an outer portion of the optical disk, and    a connection zone is provided between the read-only area (4) and the rewritable area (3),     characterised in that the connection zone is a mirror zone, and in that    the second sector length is greater than the first sector length, whereby a signal is recordable in at least one of the plurality of second sectors under a predetermined recording format including the predetermined reproduction format as a part thereof, and further including another part specific to the predetermined recording format.
  3. 3
An optical disk (1) comprising a read-only area (4) in which a plurality of read-only tracks are formed and a rewritable area (3) in which a plurality of rewritable tracks are formed,    wherein each of the plurality of read-only tracks is divided into a plurality of first sectors having a first sector length,    a signal is pre-recorded in at least one of the    plurality of first sectors under a predetermined reproduction format corresponding to the first sector length,    the first sector length is M times the length of data ID in the predetermined reproduction format,    each of the plurality of rewritable tracks is divided into a plurality of second sectors having a second sector length,    the second sector length is N times the length of Pid in a predetermined recording format,    the read-only area (4) is located on an inner portion of the optical disk (1), while the rewritable area (3) is located on an outer portion of the optical disk, and    a connection zone is provided between the read-only area (4) and the rewritable area (3),     characterised in that the connection zone is a mirror zone, and in that    N is greater than M, whereby a signal can be recorded in at least one of the plurality of second sectors under the predetermined recording format including the predetermined reproduction format as a part thereof, and further including another part specific to the predetermined recording format.
  4. 4
An optical disk according to any one of claims 1, 2 or 3, wherein the width of the connection zone in a radial direction corresponds to the width of two to eight tracks.
  5. 5
An optical disk according to any one of claims 1, 2 or 3, wherein an address increased by one address from an address of a last sector in the read-only area is used as an address of a head sector in the rewritable area.
  6. 7
An optical disc according to any one of claims 2, 3 or 5, wherein the second sector length of the second sectors is 2697 Bytes.
