Gas-storage system

Abstract

There are already known gas storage systems for motor vehicles, which are filled with a liquefied petroleum gas or compressed natural gas. The object of the invention is to provide a gas storage system which is formed crash-proof. This is achieved in that in the space enclosed by the section (5) at the open end (2) of the gas cylinder (1) a housing (7) is arranged, in which all safety-related components of the gas storage system are integrated, that the housing (7 ) is provided on a lid (12) which closes the open end (2) of the gas cylinder (1) tightly and that on the upper side (19) of the lid (12) a crash protection plate (20) is attached.
