Cordless telephone (DECT) system capable of providing a data communication service

A DECT system connected to an ISDN provides data as well as voice communication services. The DECT system includes a DECT terminal (313) for transmitting and receiving packet data via a radio link, and a DECT base station (314) for converting the packet data received from the DECT terminal to an ISDN signal to transmit the IDSN signal to the ISDN, and converting a signal received from the ISDN to packet data to transmit the converted packet data to the DECT terminal.
