Telecommunication device
Abstract
The subscriber device (1) includes a call identification circuit (5) and a memory (10) storing telephone numbers. A comparator (15) compares the call number with the stored telephone numbers, to allow data corresponding to the call number provided by the memory to be fed to a display (20). When the call information is not identified by the comparator the call number is shortened and the corresponding exchange is identified for indication via the display.

State of the art
0001The invention is based on a telecommunications device according to the preamble of the main claim.
0002From the product information <img file="EP0848531A2_D0001.tif" />Phoning plus PC convenience. Bosch Integral + phone and your PC. "A telecommunications device is already known, in which triggered by the identification of the number in ISDN, the corresponding customer file with customer data is displayed at the same time as the incoming call.
Advantages of the invention
0003The telecommunications device according to the invention with the features of the main claim has the advantage that even extension main numbers in the telecommunications device can be assigned data that are then displayed regardless of the extension number of the calling subscriber connected to the private branch exchange. In this way, a simple and unambiguous identification of a private branch exchange is possible regardless of the extension number of the calling subscriber connected to the private branch exchange, which can also be carried out particularly quickly, since fewer numbers are to be compared for main extension numbers than for complete extension numbers.
0004Another advantage is that calling subscribers whose data do not differ from one another, connected to a private branch exchange, do not have to be assigned a separate data record in the telecommunication device, but rather a uniform data record can be assigned via the main extension number, as a result of which storage space is stored in the telecommunication device is saved. Such a case occurs, for example, when a calling subscriber does not call the telecommunication device from his own subscriber terminal connected to a private branch exchange, but instead, for example, from another subscriber terminal also connected to the private branch exchange in a meeting room, or if this subscriber is called by another calling subscriber , whose subscriber terminal is also connected to the private branch exchange, is represented.
0005Advantageous further developments and improvements of the telecommunication device specified in the main claim are possible through the measures listed in the subclaims.
0006One advantage is that a data record is assigned to several phone numbers stored in the memory. In this way, subscribers calling regardless of the connection to a private branch exchange can be identified by a single data set in a way that saves memory space in the telecommunications device. This is important, for example, when a calling subscriber calls the telecommunications device partly via a private branch exchange and partly via a terminal device, such as a cell phone, which is not connected to the private branch exchange. On the other hand, branches of a private branch exchange can also be grouped in this way, each of which is assigned a common data record. In this way, a particularly flexible allocation of data records to call numbers of calling subscribers is made possible.
0007It is also advantageous that the numbers stored in the memory, which are extension numbers, are assigned the respective number of extension numbers and are also stored in the telecommunications device. In this way, the number of call number digits to be compared, which is required to determine the main extension number, can be determined in a simple and quick manner in the telecommunications device.
drawing
0008An embodiment is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. 1 shows a block diagram of a telecommunication device according to the invention and FIG.
Description of the embodiment
0009In FIG. 1, 1 denotes a telecommunications device which is connected to a telecommunications network 30. The telecommunication device 1 comprises a call identification circuit 5, which is connected to the telecommunication network 30 and to which a comparator 15 of the telecommunication device 1 is connected. The telecommunication device 1 further comprises a first memory 10 connected to the comparator 15 with n memory locations, to which m memory locations of a second memory 25 also connected to the comparator 15 are assigned. The telecommunication device 1 also has a display device 20, which is also connected to the comparator 15.
0010The first memory 10 comprises n = 5 memory locations 35, 36, ..., 39 and the second memory 25 comprises m = 3 memory locations 40, 41, 42. The first memory location 35 of the first memory 10 is the first memory location 40 of the second Memory 25, the second memory location 36 of the first memory 10, the second memory location 41 of the second memory 25, and the remaining memory locations 37, 38, 39 of the first memory 10, the third memory location 42 of the second memory 25. In the memory locations 35, 36, ..., 39 of the first memory 10 a number of a subscriber of the telecommunications network 30 is stored and in the memory locations 40, 41, 42 of the second memory 25 data from these subscribers of the telecommunications network 30 are in the form of one data record each. The choice of the number of memory locations in the first and second memories 10, 25 is exemplary and can also be selected differently as required. The same applies to the assignment of the memory locations 40, 41, 42 of the second memory 25 to the memory locations 35, ..., 39 of the first memory 10 selected in FIG. 1. It can be seen from FIG. 1 that the second memory 25 does not have two has occupied memory locations 43, 44 which could be saved or which could be used for a differently selected assignment of memory locations 40, ..., 44 of second memory 25 to memory locations 35, ..., 39 of first memory 10. A complete call number or an extension main number is stored in the memory locations 35, ..., 39 of the first memory 10. If a main extension number is stored, the assigned data record in the corresponding memory location of the second memory 25 also contains the number of extension numbers following the main extension number. The assignment of data records in the second memory 25 to telephone numbers in the first memory 10 is completely arbitrary and can be set by the user, for example, using an input unit (not shown in FIG. 1) of the telecommunications device 1. A data record can, for example, be assigned to a complete extension number, an extension main number without extension numbers, a number of complete extension numbers, a number of extension extension numbers without extension numbers or the like.
0011When using the telecommunication device 1 in a company, the memory locations 40,..., 44 of the second memory 25 can be occupied with customer data records via the input unit (not shown in FIG. 1). It can be useful for a customer with a private branch exchange to store the main extension number of the customer in a memory location of the first memory 10 using the input unit (not shown in FIG. 1) and the number of numbers sent to the main extension number in addition to the customer data record in the allocated memory location of the second memory 25 file extension numbers to be appended, so that when a call is made from any extension of the customer via the main extension number in the first memory 10, the associated customer data record can be determined in the second memory 25. However, several customer data records can also be led to a customer company, with in each case several complete direct dialing numbers of this company can be assigned in the first memory 10 to exactly one customer data record in the second memory 25. In addition to several extensions of a private branch exchange, such a data record can also be assigned to subscriber terminals of the telecommunications network 30, such as mobile telephones, which are not connected to the private branch exchange. An extension main number can also be stored in a memory location of the first memory 10 in the form of a complete extension number, with the complete extension number being assigned a data record in the second memory 25 which also contains the number of extension numbers appended to the extension number. If the telecommunication device 1 receives a call from an extension of the same private branch exchange but with a different extension number that is not stored in the first memory 10, this extension number is not identified in a first comparison with the numbers stored in the first memory 10. In a second comparison, the number of extension numbers appended to the main extension number is then determined from the second memory 25 and the last digits of the call numbers to be compared are not evaluated in accordance with the determined number. In this way, the private branch exchange belonging to the full extension number is identified. There is also the possibility of assigning a first data record to the complete extension number in the second memory 25 in a first memory location and an additional data record to the associated extension main number in a second memory location of the second memory 25, the address of the second memory location being added to the data record in the first memory location , so that a corresponding assignment of this second memory location to the main extension number can also be realized in the second comparison. Otherwise, the addresses for the allocation of the memory locations 35, ..., 39 of the first memory 10 to the memory locations 40, ..., 44 of the second memory 25 in the corresponding memory locations 35, ..., 39 of the first memory 10 are additional saved to the phone numbers. In this way, after the calling number of a calling subscriber has been identified, the associated memory location 40,..., 44 of the second memory 25 can be accessed. If, in a second comparison, as described above, an extension main number contained in a complete extension number is identified in the first memory 10, to which an additional data record is assigned in the second memory 25, then the extension main number is assigned to this additional data record via the data record assigned to the complete extension number attached address in the second memory 25. In the same way, the reduction required for the second comparison by the number of direct dialing digits from the second memory 25 is determined on the basis of the addressing stored in the first memory 10.
0012The sequence for the call of the data record of the second memory 25 belonging to the number of a calling subscriber by the comparator 15 is shown in FIG. 2 using a flow chart.
0013At program point 100, a number of a subscriber calling the telecommunication device 1 transmitted from the telecommunication network 30 to the call identification circuit 5 is determined in the call identification circuit 5 and forwarded to the comparator 15. In the comparator 15, a check is then made at program point 110 as to whether the number determined is stored in one of the memory locations 35,... 39 of the first memory 10. If this is the case, the program branches to program point 170, otherwise the program branches to program point 120. At program point 120, the memory locations 35, ..., 39 of the first memory 10 assigned to the locations 40, ..., 44 of the second memory 25 assigned to the addresses stored there are searched for stored numbers of direct dialing digits. If such numbers are stored in corresponding memory locations of the second memory 25, the smallest number a is determined. At program point 130, a comparison takes place in the comparator 15 between the call number determined in the call identification circuit 5 and the call numbers of the memory locations 35,... 39 of the first memory 10, the last a digits not being taken into account in each case. If this comparison is successful, the program branches to program point 170, otherwise the program branches to program point 140. At program point 140, the number a is increased by 1. At program point 150 it is checked whether the new number a in the second memory 25 is greater than the maximum number of direct dialing digits stored in the second memory 25. If this is the case, the program branches to program point 160, otherwise the program branches to program point 130. At program point 170, the data record assigned to the identified call number is opened from the second memory 25 and fed to the display device 20 for display via the comparator 15. The open data record is then displayed at program point 180 on the display device 20. At program point 160, the user is informed on the display device 20 that no data record is stored in the second memory 25 for the call number of the calling subscriber. The program is ended after program point 160 or program point 180.
0014The telecommunication device 1 according to the invention can be used, for example, in the professional field of telephone marketing, ordering and service. In these areas, quick access to the stored customer data is required to process the customer request. In this case, the caller's data are available even before the call is accepted, since the calling subscriber's number is already transferred to the subscriber device 1 during the calling process. The transmission or signaling of the call number to the telecommunication device 1 can take place digitally, for example in ISDN, or also analog.
