Method and apparatus for optimising a mobile radio network

In order to optimize a mobile network in operation, it is proposed to determine by monitoring the mobile radio network (MRN) by means of an operation and maintenance center (OMC) whether a fault occurs in the mobile network, and in this case measured in the mobile network actual data as input data (DIN) into a computer-controlled device (NPT) in order to calculate output data (DOUT), which are to be used as target data for optimizing parameter settings in the mobile radio network (MRN). It is proposed to construct a control loop containing the Operations and Maintenance Center (OMC) and the Computer Controlled Device (NPT), which in itself is used to schedule radio networks. Accordingly, the device, which is a so-called network planning tool, is used according to the invention as a network optimization tool.
