Fiber structure for fiber reinforced composite material and method of making fiber reinforced composite material

Provided is a process for making a fiber structure for fiber reinforced composite material in which differences between the inner side and the outer surface side are given in the mechanical and thermal properties which comprises the steps of: preparing a fiber structure constituted integrally by reinforcing fibers and non-reinforcing fiber; and subjecting the fiber structure to a physical or chemical treatment to substantially remove or modify the non-reinforcing fibers.
