Multiple-motor drive
Abstract
The drive has a number of individual motors (2) which operate one after another. The motors (2) are cooled by means of external fans (6). Only the same number of fans (6) as the number of motors operating at any one time are provided. The fan or fans (6) is/are coupled according to current respectively with the motor or motors (2) in operation. The motors (2) may be arranged on an adjustable carrier (1) and are brought into their operating or non-operating positions by movement of the carrier (1). The carrier (1) has the same number of consoles (5) as motors operating at the same time. The fans (6) are preferably arranged on these consoles (5) so as to be axially movable. The fans (6) may instead be axially movable relative to the motors (2) on adjustable carrier frames. The fans (6) are allocated to each motor (2) in operation by adjusting the frame. The motors (2) are preferably arranged on a pivotal carrier plate.

p0001The invention relates to a multi-motor drive according to the preamble of claim 1.
p0002There are in the art, for example in the textile industry, applications in which a multi-motor drive is provided for the purpose that another or other motors can be stopped during operation of one or individual motors to either make revisions to the engines or the to re-equip the engines powered workstations. The motors are usually provided with a generator driven by a separate fan motor fans, ie forced ventilated.
p0003The invention is based, to reduce the cost of cooling of the engines of multi-motor drive the task.
p0004This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. This design of the multi-motor drive all engines can run without its own fan. All it takes is one of the number of operating simultaneously each motors to be provided corresponding number of foreign fans. These external fans are then fluidly coupled with each of the engines in operation.
p0005According to one embodiment of the invention is an advantageous embodiment in that the motors arranged on an adjustable carrying device and can each be brought in their operation and in their inoperative position by adjusting the carrying device, said carrying device opposite to the number of operating simultaneously in each case motors corresponding number of consoles is provided on which the driven fan with respect to the carrying device is arranged axially displaceable. In this embodiment, the operating position or the inoperative position of the motor or the motors is respectively given by a particular spatial position of the motors. Thus the necessary external fans can be arranged in each case at the point corresponding the spatial position. The external fan must then be merely fluidly coupled to the motors. This is expediently carried out by an axial Verchieben the forced cooling fan to the motors, so that the external fan is guided with its fan cover on the motor housing and thus in fluid communication with the engine.
p0006Where a multi-motor drive, the individual engines set by electrically switching on and off respectively in operation and out of operation, it is expedient that the or the external fan towards the motors disposed axially on an adjustable support frame or are and this by adjusting supporting frame is or are respectively the or the in-service motor or motors can be assigned. Thus, the external fan may be hinverschwenkt for engines Lines in operation at spatially fixed motors and coupled with these.
p0007The arrangement of the motors on a pivotable support plate easily enables the movement of the motors in their operations and in their inoperative position.
p0008Based on an embodiment shown in the drawing, the invention will be described in more detail below. It shows:

1 shows

a plan view of a multi-motor drive,

FIG 2

a side view of the multi-motor drive according to Fig.1.

p00091 with a supporting plate is referred to, are distributed on the as shown in Fig.1, four motors 2 uniformly over its periphery. The support plate 1 can also be equipped with two or three or even more than four engines. 2 A rotation arrow 3, the pivoting of the support plate 1 is indicated.
p0010As can be seen in particular from Figure 2, is relative to the support plate 1 axially spaced from a console 5 is attached, on which a forced cooling fan 6 is arranged axially displaceable. In the illustrated embodiment, it is assumed that the engine 2 can be brought into its operative position by pivoting of the support plate the first According to the illustrated embodiment, the operating position for the individual motor 2 is in each case given when he stands by pivoting of the support plate 1 in the uppermost position. This position is also associated with the Fremdüfter. 6 The console 5 is opposite the support plate 1 is arranged and oriented so that the external fan 6 comes through corresponding axial displacement on the console 5 with its fan cover 7 on the front side of the in the top position the engine 2 to the plant. In order for the forced cooling fan 6 is fluidly coupled to the in-use motor 2, as is the case in the position of the external fan shown with full trace. The dotted trace the disconnected from the engine 2 position of the external fan 6 is indicated.
p0011With the adjustment in the calculation takes into that the non-operating motors do not require cooling and hence the external fan can be saved.
p0012The drive assembly can also be carried out so that a plurality of motors are in operation simultaneously, eg on the top and the motor located in the lowest position 2. Accordingly, these positions each have a separate fan 6 is then assigned.
p0013There is also the possibility that the engine 2 always remain in their positions and are set by switching in and out of service. In this case, the external fan may 6 arranged on a support frame and by adjusting the same in each case be coupled to the in-service engines. 2
