  1. 1
An ink jet recording apparatus comprising:a recording head (18) having a plurality of ejection orifices for ejecting ink, said ejection orifices being arranged to be drivable in a plurality of blocks, and having a common ink chamber for supplying ink to said plurality of ejection orifices;and driving means (11 to 15) for driving said ejection orifices of each block to eject ink, so that the sum of block driving periods is less than an ejection period (T) and the block driving periods are biased towards a starting end of the ejection period (T), said driving means (11 to 15) being arranged to cause a number of the ejection orifices to eject simultaneously a quantity of ink not more than 7% of the ink quantity to be ejected from all of said plurality of ejection orifices of said recording head, and to set a driving term of all the blocks to be not less than 70% of the ejection period.
  2. 2
An ink jet recording apparatus comprising:a recording head (18) having at least 32 ejection orifices for ejecting ink, said ejection orifices being arranged to be drivable in a plurality of blocks, and having a common chamber for supplying ink to said ejection orifices;and driving means (11 to 15) for driving said ejection orifices for each block to eject ink, so that the sum of block driving periods is less than an ejection period (T) and the block driving periods may be are biased toward a starting end of the ejection period (T), said driving means (11 to 15) being arranged to cause a number of ejection orifices to eject ink simultaneously such that the ratio of the number of ejection orifices simultaneously ejecting ink is not more than 12.5% of the total number of ejection orifices of said recording head, and to set a driving term of all the blocks to be not less than 90% of the ejection period.
