  1. 1
A method for ink jet printing comprising:providing an ink jet printing apparatus for forming an image using a print head comprising: a first nozzle group (1k1) for discharging a first ink (k1) to develop a first color;a second nozzle group (1k2) for discharging a second ink (k2) to develop the first color;and a third nozzle group (1s) for discharging into a printing medium (7) a printability improving solution (s) having a higher penetrability compared to said first ink (k1) and said second ink (k2) to improve printability of said first ink and said second ink;said first nozzle group (1k1), said second nozzle group (1k2) and said third nozzle group (1s) being arranged along a relative moving direction of said print head to said printing medium (7), said third nozzle group (1s) being arranged between said first nozzle group (1k1) and said second nozzle group (1k2);a first discharge step of discharging said first ink (k1) from said first nozzle group (1k1) onto said printing medium (7) based on image data;a second discharge step of discharging said printability improving solution(s) from said third nozzle group (1s) onto a portion of said first ink discharged in said first step on said printing medium (7) based on said image data;and a third discharge step of forming an image by discharging said second ink from said second nozzle group (1k2) onto a portion of said first ink and said printability improving solution discharged in said first and second discharge steps on said printing medium (7) based on said image data;wherein said printability improving solution has a surface tension γ from 30 dyne/cm to 40 dyne/cm.
  2. 5
A method for ink jet printing according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein data for discharging said printability improving solution is modified data obtained by curtailing a predetermined pattern from said image data.
  3. 19
An ink jet printing apparatus for forming an image comprising a print head comprising:a first nozzle group (1k1) including a supply of a first ink (k1) for discharging to develop a first color;a second nozzle group (1k2) including a supply of a second ink (k2) for discharging to develop the first color;a third nozzle group (1s) including a supply of a printability improving solution (s) having a higher penetrability into a printing medium (7) compared to said first ink (k1) and said second ink (k2), the third nozzle group (1s) being operable to discharge said printability improving solution (s) to improve printability of said first ink (k1) and said second ink (k2);said first nozzle group (1k1), said second nozzle group (1k2) and said third nozzle group (1s) being arranged in a relative moving direction of said print head to said printing medium (7), said third nozzle group (1s) being arranged between said first nozzle group (1k1) and said second nozzle group (1k2);wherein said ink jet printing apparatus further comprises a control unit (301) operable to control the discharge operation of said first, second and third nozzle groups (1k1, 1k2, 1s) such that: said first nozzle group (1k1) discharges said first ink (k1) onto said printing medium (7) based on image data;said third nozzle group (1s) discharges said printability improving solution (s) onto a portion of said first ink discharged onto said printing medium (7) by said first nozzle group (1k1) based on said image data;and said second nozzle group (1k2) discharges said second ink (k2) onto a portion of said first ink and said printability improving solution discharged by said first and third nozzle groups (1k1, 1s) onto said printing medium (7) based on said image data, to form an image;and    wherein said printability improving solution has a surface tension γ from 30 dyne/cm to 40 dyne/cm.
  4. 25
An ink jet printing apparatus according to any of claims 19 to 24, wherein said surface tension γ is within a range of 30 dyne/cm ≤γ ≤ 38 dyne/cm.
  5. 27
An ink jet printing apparatus according to any of claims 19 to 26, wherein said ink contains a black coloring material.
