Circuit arrangement for displaying information characterising the status of the switching network
Abstract
A display circuit is provided for a communication device, e.g. a telephone. Several different bits of information are sent to an optical display in a first exchange state time sequentially. A control program sends information to the optical display. Several different types of information are displayed in the form of alphanumeric characters. The control unit from which the control program is derived includes an acoustic display to which other information is sent. The information indicates the first exchange state.

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for displaying switching status designating information according to the preamble of claim 1.
There are telecommunications devices with optical display devices are known which indicate the respective switching state. For example, make known telecommunication terminals of alphanumeric characters existing ads as "conference", "Machine. Redial", etc., or symbols (pictograms). Here only a particular display is provided for each switching state. The user of such a telecommunication terminal receives, for example, but no information on the progress of establishing a connection or a disconnect. In mobile phones, the connection is established (Registration) usually takes a relatively long time to complete. Without an indication that the mobile phone that identifies the connection, or the only means to the fact of the connection setup, the user of the telecommunication terminal is unsettled; partially the connection is terminated by the operator and restarted.
Starting from this prior art, the invention aims to provide a circuit arrangement of the aforementioned type, which generates further information.
This object is achieved with a circuit arrangement which is defined in the claims.
The invention is connected to a plurality of advantages. The user of a device with an inventive circuitry is informed by dynamic, visual and / or audible indicators comprehensively about switching states. The display formed by the inventive circuit configuration consisting of a series of ads "moving images". In addition to the official information of these indicators also an entertainment value to the user of such a circuit arrangement is to be emphasized, so that at the same time a greater acceptance of devices with the inventive circuit arrangement is achieved by users.
The invention will now be described with reference to the drawings.
It shows

FIG. 1 schematically shows an inventive circuit arrangement; and

Fig. 2-7 Examples of ads that are formed with the circuit arrangement of FIG. 1.

The circuit arrangement shown in Fig. 1 comprises a control unit MP, an optical display device DPL, and optionally an acoustic display device SP. The two display devices DPL and SP are connected to the control unit. The inventive circuit arrangement may further comprise a memory MEM, containing information, in particular, provided that the circuit of the invention is implemented in a telecommunications device, switching condition designating information. Furthermore, the circuit arrangement of the invention may have a keyboard with keys KB. The controller is also connected to a line I / O, are transmitted via the signals, for example, from a private branch exchange or a public switch to the circuit arrangement. Likewise, signals from the controller are transmitted, for example, to the headquarters of a PBX or to a public switching equipment.
The the control unit MP dedicated control program is configured in such a manner that the optical display device DPL, a plurality of different first information I1 fed in a predetermined, first switching state in a time sequence, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of different information I1 denote the first switching state. Examples of initial information and the icons that appear during an activation of the optical display device with the first information, 2, 3 and 4 are shown in Figs. Represented. This information or signals are arranged for example in a horizontal axis arrows or a plurality of arrows. For example, two oppositely facing, each consisting of three arrows arrow groups and / or two oppositely directed, each consisting of two arrows arrow groups are displayed simultaneously.
The control program may also be configured in such a manner that the control unit of the optical display device having the plurality of different first information I1 supplies more information IW at the same time indicating the optical display device DPL in the form of alphanumeric characters. In Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 are shown examples of alphanumeric characters, namely "GSM", "Options," "switching off" and "Mute".
The control program can also be designed in such a way that the acoustic display device SP least second information is supplied, designating the first switching state. This second information can be converted acoustically, for example by a continuous tone or sequence of the same sounds.
It can also be provided that the control unit of the acoustic display device SP, a plurality of different information supplying third in chronological order, at least a portion of these various third information designating the first switching state. These different third information I3 are converted, for example in the form of a melody.
At least a portion of these various third information may designate the first switching state. The first switching state can thus be represented by a simultaneous visual and audible indication.
The first switching state, for example, a connection or disconnection. . For example, a connection with the illustrated in Figure 4 graphic elements in the following manner can visually represent:

1. No Signal

2. 3 3

3 3 2 2 3

4. 2 2

5. Repeat the sequence 1-4.

A disconnection can be represented in the following manner:

1 3 2 2 3

2. 2 2

3. 3 3

4. No Signal

The connection is at the "3 3" / "3 2 2 3" clearly marked in Fig. 2 illustrated embodiment, and at the above timings by combining, during the disconnect when the FIG. 3 embodiment shown and at the top said temporal sequences by combining "3 2 2 3" / "2 2" and "2 2" / "3 3" is clearly marked.
The above sequences of symbolic representations shown can be combined with the visual display in the form of alphanumeric characters. Examples of this are shown in Figs. 2 and 3, respectively.
In FIGS. 5, 7 and 8 Examples of advertisements further switching states are presented.
For example, sending a telephone number of a called B-subscriber through a display of FIG. 4 can be represented, said in Fig. 5 symbols shown in the sequence 1, 2, 3, etc. are used. can be inserted in the display shown in Fig. 4 also the actual number of the B subscriber.
The switching state "associated with the called subscriber (dial tone)" can in particular be realized by the display shown in Fig. 7. The dial tone may also be represented by a flashing graphic symbol telephone. The screen shown in Fig. 7 can be constructed successively, wherein for example, starting from the graphic symbol of the horizontal mobile phone each a piece of chain-line line which represents the communication path, are displayed successively in the direction of the telephone icon in accordance with the phased progress of connection establishment. The connection is established and in analogous application of the disconnection can thus be represented by the establishing phase or individual connection depleting phase individual symbols. Individual phases of connection establishment or the disconnect are each denoted by a phase individual first and / or third information, this phase individual information are displayed in chronological order on the optical display device DPL or by the acoustic display device SP.
In FIG. 8 the switching state "B lifting the telephone handset" (ie, making the connection) is shown; This switching state ( "second switching state") follows on from those shown in Fig. 7 switching state ( "first switching state"). In the second switching state of the optical display device DPL are part of the first information supplied (eg showing the connecting line and the phone body right in Figures 7 and 8), which are supplied to the optical display device in the first switching state.
The illustrated in Fig. 5, 7 and 8 optical displays can be combined with acoustic indicators.
The invention is generally directed to a program-controlled devices with optical and optionally acoustic display devices, in particular telecommunications equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, applicable. A preferred application example are mobile telephone terminals.
